The production quality is extremely low. It looks cheap, like a report from a local low-budget TV station shot on a camera from the 90s. The cinematography is bad. Acting is crap (except for Milly - she's gorgeous and plays like a pro). The story is boring and unrealistic. The pace is slooooow. I didn't care enough to watch it to the end, stopped after two episodes.
Why anyone would give it high marks is beyond me. Yes, Milly is wonderful, but she doesn't carry the show. The rest of the actors, specifically her counterpart, seem totally out of place, not wanting to be there. It's sad, sad beyond belief.

I really don't want to spoil anything for you, but it's NOT a police procedural. Just keep watching and your patience will be rewarded. It constantly changes its tone from sober and boring to hilarious. Everything changes and you never expect what will happen in 5 minutes.
Also - study the poster, you'll enjoy guessing the plot.

This is actually a compilation of TV-series. A lot was left out, and maybe that's why it feels so inconsistent in places. Geralt was good, as was the little heiress. I'd say the TV-series was okay, the movie - not so good. Go for the books instead.
