Michael Frediani has been in the TV & film industry starting as a camera assistant, working his way through the ranks to camera operator and director of photography, magazine editor, writer and instructor.


Mike earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Cinema from Columbia College Los Angeles, joined the Camera Guild in 1978 and after working as a camera assistant for 12 years became a camera operator in 1989.

Mike was elected President of the Society of Camera Operators serving from 1995-96.

Mike is currently a member of the National Executive Board of the International Cinematographers Guild, and again elected to SOC President 2011.

LA Law, Ally McBeal, Charmed, Monk, My Boys, Mad Men, Switched at Birth and the current Fox television hit New Girl, Bones and more as the A camera operator.
