Having just attempted to stomach this 'reboot' and gotten most of the way through the second episode before being unable to continue, I am sorry to see the preponderance of critiques here focused on all the ways The Black Guy fails to live up to the exploits of the amazing Mr. Kiefer Sutherland.
Rubbish. 24, the original series, was a load of ridiculous tripe, and so is this. The franchise's stock in trade has always been a seemingly endless succession of America-hating conspirators who started out saintly and above suspicion, being outed one by one to the disbelief and dismay of the viewing audience. Unfortunately, as the rogues gallery grows with each passing episode, the effect loses credibility in inverse proportion to each added rogue. Even the occasional 'Oh, so he *wasn't* a bad guy!' shocker is good for only so much cred.
Silly humans. This reboot absolutely lives up to its model: It is every last bit as stupid.
And seriously? If your takeaway from any reboot or sequel is that it isn't white enough? That prejudice is extreme; and it is with extreme prejudice that you should go all the way away.

His 'work' on and off camera with his _Supernatural_ costar Jensen Ackles has been enormously entertaining, but somehow I missed, until just now, Misha Collins's decade-ago bid for a Lifetime Achievement Award in Gay-Baiting. _Supernatural_, of course, garnered some outrage from actual gay people over the years, for continually providing teaser content without satisfying gay characters or storylines. I undertake the frustration; but Misha (and Jensen) so clearly enjoy *acting* like a couple for their gay fans, I really can't begrudge them. And this short is a winking pièce de résistance for Misha. Ah, if only he were real TSA... my travel budget would skyrocket.
