I was completely blown away by The Matrix. Not only because of the special effects, but by the completely original and thought provoking storyline. I loved the use of slow motion in the fight scenes. The final 30 minutes were action packed and beautiful. By the way, the soundtrack is definitely a great part of the movie as well.

A Disney Film gone bad
16 March 1999
This film reminded me of a Disney Kids movie with gore. Sure there isn't as much as many other zombie movies out there. It just had a childish atmosphere to it. There were a couple cool effects. One thing I noticed is that when zombies were killed, there was no goo. No blood or anything, just dryness. It was a switch from many other zombie movies out there (dead alive). I enjoyed it though, I liked the Michael Jackson zombie getting fried. And I also liked the comic book in the movie: Masterman (He's building a masterblast!)

Waste, of breath, and life
8 March 1999
I wasted two hours of my life watching this movie. I can't believe that I am wasting more time thinking about it and writing about it. But I must warn others who stumble upon this comment. Avoid this movie. Do not see it. I'm sure that after the actors made this movie, they felt so stupid that they never were seen in public again. This is the worst. I wanted it all to end.

A Great Movie
14 February 1999
This movie has it all. Lots of big guns, giant brainsucking aliens, nudity, and buckets of gore. Plus you've got great lines: "They sucked his brains out". "Rico, you know what to do!" On a scale of one to ten, I'd give this a ten. The more times I see it, the more I like it!
Dead Alive

Funniest Movie Ever!
11 February 1999
This has to be the funniest movie I have ever seen. I laughed until I was hoarse! There were so many great moments. The Baby in the park scene. The Monkey Scene. The Priest Scene. The pudding scene. And best of all, the party scene. This is the goriest movie I've ever seen. Make sure to get the unrated version, and you will love it!

I burned this one!
11 February 1999
Ok. First you take a cup of a nature documentary, add another cup of indian tribal footage, you take a sprinkle of Night of the Living Dead, and a teaspoon of softcore porn. Then you make the film so dark that you can't see it, and you've got Night of the Zombies. This is the worst. After watching this my freinds and I took it out in the street and burned it. This is not worth watching unless you are under the influence.

Have a barf bag ready!

This movie was so gory it made me want to vomit. Now there is funny-gore (Dead Alive) And there is sick gore. This movie definitely contains the latter. I was trying to eat a slice of pizza while watching this movie, and I couldn't do it. This is one of the best zombie movies I've ever seen. This is a must see for any zombie fan, or any horror fan for that matter.

A great horror film, second only to night
2 February 1999
I saw this movie shortly after seeing Night of the Living Dead for the first time. This is a great sequel, and in many ways it is better than the original. I loved the feeling of this movie, and the setting and story is perfect. This movie is really bloody, and the pinkish-red blood makes this movie like a living comic book. This is a definite must-see for any zombie fan.
Night of the Living Dead

The best movie ever made
2 February 1999
This is the best horror movie ever made, and I would venture to say it is the best movie ever made. I have seen many zombie movies, and this one frightened me the most. The actual viewing freaked me out a little, but this movie grows on you, and freaks you out more over time. The Cemetary scene is the best scene in any zombie movie. George Romero is a genius. Ben is the ultimate butt-kicker. He even knocks an annoying girl across the room. This is a must see for any zombie fan.
