Roadtrip !!! Two brothers take a road trip. Jake and pete head home to face the family and deal with their issues. Pete has made (another) suicide attempt, and there are many problems to be resolved. Along the way, the two brothers squabble over dumb little things. The middle part moves pretty slowly. They stop at some waterfalls and scenic things along the way. It's good, but some of the emotional scenes felt a bit contrived. Keep an eye out for jk simmons, from the insurance ads.. from burn after reading. He's dad, who thinks he has it all figured out, but is probably doing more damage by trying to control everything. And the younger brother is going too easy on his brother. Where's the discussion about going to rehab?? Written and directed by sheridan odonnell. This all feels like someone's personal life story. Maybe their own or a family member's addiction story.

Humble pie, sometimes called american fork... written and starring hubbel palmer. Tracy is waaaay overweight and unpopular. And because he lacks confidence, everyone takes advantage of him. His acting coach even starts dating his sister, using tracy's ticket! His sister seems to be his only friend. The running gag is that he keeps failing the driving test. But when tracy is charged with a crime, who will stand by him? And will he ever pass the test for his license? Keep an eye out for william baldwin in a supporting role. It's okay! Not a major work, but no big flaws or plot holes. It could have used more story in the story, a bit more character for the various characters. Directed by chris bowman, who had also worked on the napoleon dynamite series. I had already seen his masterminds, which was also pretty good!

Seems to be a remake of roman spring of mrs. Stone, with some very modern updates! Story of a cougar, who has been alone, and is looking for love. Or at least lust. And who could blame her ? Here...a chance meeting when elia's car breaks down near gabriella's house. At first, she doesn't trust him, and he's very naughty. He even makes out with the gabriella's son in a bar, before they know each other. That name elia... as in liar! It's not all that shocking, as gabriella seems to already be separated or divorced. Her kids try to warn her about elia's past, but mom is still dating the hot stud. She lets him move in, and lets him have a say on how the hotel should be run. And... of course, his girlfriend from the past shows up! Claiming to have his baby. Many shots of gabriella's boobs and elia's butt. And such dramatic music during so many scenes! Can the children protect gabriella from elia? Will he run off with marina, his pregnant ex girlfriend? Will gabriella ever get her money back? The series currently shows as directed by pappi corsicato, and written by various people. It's entertaining, if not very clever. Very linear; no surprises.
