My Super Ex-Girlfriend (2006)
Totally enjoyed this movie!
This movie was hands down the funniest movie I've seen in a long time. I laughed so hard at times that I started coughing and almost crapped my pants.
While reading some of the posts on this board, I'm under the impression that too many people in this world take movies too seriously. I mean, how can you have a problem with a shark in the room when the main character has "super" powers? Aren't both pretty unbelievable?
I just thought this movie was hilariously funny, like after the shark fell out the window, Hannah says, "Why did G Girl throw a shark at us? Did you do something wrong?" I think I rewound that 3 times to listen to it again.

I Dream of Murder (2006)
Title was changed to I Dream of Murder
This movie came on the LifeTime network on Sunday, June 11th. I seen Jolene Blalock on a commercial for the movie sometime last week and I set my DVR to record it. She was the reason why I wanted to watch the movie.
I Dream of Murder centers around a psychiatrist, played remarkably well by Jolene Blalock of Star Trek: Enterprise. She has reoccurring nightmares of an old high school boyfriend that died in a car crash, or so she believes. It's a little hard to tell with the dream/flashbacks because each one is different and at one point, she mentions that the boyfriend's body was never found and that her ex had a way of disappearing and showing up unannounced. She has questioned whether his body was thrown from the vehicle.
The title of the movie comes from one of her patients. Her patient tells her about a dream in which she was strangled in an alley. Hours later, her dreams became reality. Up until this point, the patient tells Dr. Jo (Blalock) about her bad marriage and a ex-boyfriend that she dated in high school that has recently came back into her life.
SPOILERS: I won't reveal all spoilers, just pointing out some things.
The dead patient had told Dr. Jo about a lover that has returned in her life, however, she is a married woman and her husband is an alcoholic and is starting to turn violent. After the patient's death, Jo pays her ex-lover a visit to "console" him. Afterwards, the husband is very irate and crank calls Jo, calls her Bitch and says she's going to pay. The plot is very very thin and transparent. You can see where the story is leading well before it happens. I really don't need to explain what happens with the ex-lover and the husband; whatever you can imagine, it's probably true.
The movie ends with a twist, however, I seen it coming a mile away. IMO, Jolene Blalock is a fine actress. Her acting was top notch compared to the other actors, who most seemed very wooden and non-emotional, especially the actor who played her husband and the actor that played the detective investigating the murder. Terrible performances by these two guys.
Overall, 5 out of 10. This movie was average at best.
Tremors 3: Back to Perfection (2001)
Wow did they actually read my comment on Tremors 2?
I just rented this DVD today and was quite surprised that they actually have flying Graboids now (flying shriekers). I wonder if the creators of this movie actual seen my comments on IMDB under Tremors 2 when I said that I hope there's a 3rd installment and this time have flying graboids. If they didn't read it, this is quite a coincidence. What can I do for an encore? Predict that the next Graboids be like those bugs in Mimic and have Tremors 4's Graboids mimic humans? Naw, that would be stupid.
Very good CGI effects this time around but the story line was pretty weak. I also couldn't get into the characters like Tremors 2, which is my all time favorite.
Along Came a Spider (2001)
Along Came a Spider and took a dump on this movie.
I was not let down by the performance of Morgan Freeman's acting or any of the other actors, it was the script. Terrible. Terrible. Terrible. I was sitting in the theater naming off movies I've seen the stuff that happens in Along Came A Spider, like, "Oh yeah, I remember that from Lethal Weapon. Ah man, they did that in Face Off."
I was overwhelmed by Monica Potter though. She looks great. I could not help but notice how much she resembles Julia Roberts. She even sounds like Julia and has similar facial expressions. Of course, Julia is not blonde and probably wouldn't look good as a blonde because of her brown eyes. Anyhow, Monica was stunning. Too bad about this movie though.
I couldn't understand the part with Demetri at home and wanting to use the outside public phone to make contact. At first, who did he think he was talking to through the secret message thing? Megan? If he did think he was talking to her (obvious because of what the secret .gif messages were saying, like, "You're the only one I trust") why didn't the kid notify the authorities? I know the Soneji character was the one on the other end but I couldn't understand why Demetri was convinced he had to go out to the public phone? What?? Plot hole I'm guessing. I understand the fact that Demetri and Megan were using the .gif messages in class as secret ways of communicating but why would they practice this at home, after school? Is there something wrong with online chat or email??? That was dumb or I must have missed something.
I will say that the 'surprise' through me for a loop but disappointed me. I didn't want 'that' to happen. Julia wouldn't have done that would she? Hey, didn't I see something similar to that in Ransom? Of course I did.

Random Hearts (1999)
Good movie to sit back and relax with your loved one
I must be getting old because I was riveted to this movie from the first time I saw it. I'm watching it again right now on HBO. It's a very simple film about 2 people that fall in love after they found out that there spouses were having an affair. Plot is very thin, but the actors acted very well in this movie. In the mix of Kristen Scott Thomas running for congress and Harrison Ford being an Internal Affairs cop, these two meet, under unfortunate circumstances and fall in love. I love the soundtrack. Perfect fit. One thing I can't figure out, this movie had a budget of $68 million dollars. Were was it spent? The plane crash or Harrison Ford's salary?
Little Richard (2000)
Hey, this movie was alright...
This had to be one of Robert Townsends better, if not best, movie he'd ever directed. I never knew much about Little Richard's past and this movie does a very good job in explaining it. I say about as good as the Tina Turner story, What's Love Got to Do With it.
It's starts out with Richard's child hood, his infatuation with dressing up in his mother's clothes, his father giving him beatings and the influence of the church. The film later goes into Richard's first hit recording "Tutti Fruitti". Pat Boone later goes on to record this song and many other Little Richard songs and the white radio stations play Boone's instead of Richards. Of course, this isn't the whole plot of the movie, though, just part of it.
This movie is about as good as you can get when it comes to biography movies on Rock stars. It doesn't disappoint, not in my opinion. LEON does a very good job portraying Little Richard.

Tremors II: Aftershocks (1996)
One of my all time favorites!
I really like this movie! I'm currently watching it on the USA channel right now! I like this movie more than the first one because it has much more humor to it. Whenever this movie comes on TV I'll watch it! This movie is brilliant. I hope there is a 3rd installment. Maybe this time have flying Graboids or something.
Mission to Mars (2000)
Forget the Critics!
I thought this movie was GREAT! People are forgetting the fact that they are seeing a MOVIE! And this movie Rocks (The mind). This movie is for the hardcore Sci-Fi fans, like myself. Yep, I like seeing space, space stations, planets, aliens and stuff other people might find boring.
I thought is was facinating that the base camp on Mars was so close to the "Mars Face". Of all the places that NASA has sent probes (in real life) they seem to be going to the wrong areas. It's like someone from another planet sending probes to the North or South pole on Earth and expecting to find life or signs of life there. I'm not implying that there really is something up there on Mars but just thinking from the scientific side of reality of what if?
I read and heard all the negative reviews on this movie and I had to set them aside and see it for myself, and I'm glad I did. My girlfriend was upset that I didn't take her to see it and I'm kinda sad that I didn't. Maybe next time.
Exo-Man (1977)
It's alright
I saw this movie when I was a little kid. It's about a crippled man that builds a suit that allowed him to walk and he ended up trying to be a crime fighter. He almost looks like a walking red bullet or missile. He had one weakness, a lack of air in the power suit. For some reason I really thought this movie was cool. By the way, the suit was bullet proof. I would love to see this movie on Mystery Science Theater 3000.
