The Joe Rogan Experience (2009)
Comedian talk show that can be enlightening and stupid.
Comedian Joe Rogan talks to people he's interested in and is occasionally interesting and often funny. This is a free form talk/interview podcast and as that it exceeds in its format.
Not to distracting and at three hours average it's fine to have playing in the background.
Oldeuboi (2003)
A dark film that will stay with you. But in a good way.
This movie is dark, violent, confusing and at times quite cruel. It is also visually stunning, immeasurably surprising and finally beautifully tragic. It is one of the great films of our time and echos of Greek tragedy.
Not to mention that friggen hammer sequence is one of the craziest things on film.
Beverly Hills Chihuahua 3: Viva La Fiesta! (2012)
This is the true gem of the BHC franchise
This is easily my favourite film in this series and it's easy to see why. The cast mostly carry's over from the second film along with new characters including the Immeasurably likeable Kyle Gass in a surprisingly on brand role. It continues the themes of cultural appreciation and the value of family both born and chosen but with a new vibrancy. New friends and villains who may just be friends we don't know well enough yet. Along with these philosophical ideations is and incredibly funny music sequence wich serves as a vehicle for almost 15mins of dog/music puns.
Only for viewers who want to be entirely delighted.
Beverly Hills Chihuahua 2 (2011)
Underaged and misunderstood gem
One of the very few sequels to improve on the original. The almost entirely new cast fits into this film so effortlessly. Right from the very first shot the film is incredibly watchable. I've seen it 14 times just 3 times less than the 3rd film (my favourite in the franchise).
This is a movie about chihuahuas but it's also about taking pride in your cultural heritage even when you feel out of place. It's also a grounded reflection on the concept of family both chosen and blood relative.
