Horrific attempt at capturing the brilliance of the book. If you've read the book don't waste your money watching the movie. If you've read the book you'll be left frustrated, confused, disappointed, and hoping that every piano within 10 miles bursts into flames.
Not only does the movie do a horrific job in its attempt to capture the drama of the novel, but this has got to be the most horrific casting I've ever seen. Tom Cruise was a great Mitch, but he's the only character correctly cast in the entire film. No one in this movie has chemistry and I wish I would have gone diving with Hodges & Kozinski instead of watch this movie.

Not all of us are into steampunk and so ignored the BioShock train. For those who loved Fallout but became disenchanted with whatever happened after 4...this is an amazing game to play to come back to that Fallout 3/Wolfenstein love.
Absolutely stunning graphics and a really fun environment to explore and dive into. You'll be captivated in the first 15 minutes. BioShock took steam punk Americana, Fallout did post nuclear America, Wolfenstein took Germans winning WWII...finally we see a game explore the USSR side of this genre!!
This game is Fallout meets Wolfenstein in the USSR + iRobot in all the best ways!

Not sure how Netflix let this get past the test audiences, maybe the though the test crowd had been so blown away they fainted (they actually fell asleep). So much potential with so little follow through. The best parts are the two besties who carry the plot (and any humor) in this whole movie. You could just fast forward to about 45 minutes left in the movie and enjoy it from there but don't put yourself through the hour that precedes that. On a more technical note the cinematography is excruciatingly symmetrical and static while the acting is flat. The soundtrack was clearly pushed together by a Cars fan to the point that it was annoying, ruining perfectly good opportunities for a real composer to create some semblance of emotional movement in the film.
