There are things that didn't feel okay with me when I watched this movie, and the feelings were immediate popped up when what scenes and dialogue were not logic or looked pretentiously fake.
The CIA director would never be so buddy buddy with the POTUS.
The trust and the immediate friendship between the CIA director and Jack Ryan looked so vague, rushed and forced. The screenplay didn't provided enough development between these two and the lack of Jack Ryan's background and where he came from, how he became the most reputed and trusted personnel who was obviously the only person that the CIA director trusted and relied upon.
The extreme vibrations inside the cabin of Air Force One was so laughable. A Boeing JumboJet as the AirForce One in the air under no circumstance would would not shake and vibrate like what we have seen in the movie.
When Jack Ryan finally succeeded contacting the hard, stubborn, paranoia key cabinet person, the first sentence he said should not be the one that he already insisted that the Soviet President is not the person who initiated the nuclear attack on American soil, because that opinion was already been ejected by most of the cabinet members and the POTUS, even the latter was still not so sure about it. The first sentence a smart guy like Jack Ryan would and should be "Sir, the nuke is made by us!", but instead, he repeated the lame and old sentence. No wonder it fell on deaf ears and hung up right away before that most important message.
Casting Ben Aflec to play Jack Ryan was a big mistake. He didn't look like a smart geek and genius nerd analysis but a incompetent moron who opened his mouth all the time unconsciously. His voice also failed to show any convincing power, what he said was obviously ignored by the inner circle powerful cabinet members, and also by the POTUS.
This adapted movie is not only not on par with the original novel, but also further ruined by a weak main young protagonist play by Ben Aflec.

The white female lead is not a good cast. Very pretentious and no actual chemistry with the protagonist at all. And she is a very bad actor. I can't believe the LAX would be so cooperative just to helping Hollywood shooting a movie. The whole movie is like a horrible high school student project. The dialogue just feel so generic and fake. The scenarios, what a load of crap, only morons would buy it. The cast also looks so outdated like what we see in the 80s' movies or TV drama series all the black people become the superior authorities, all the whites are the lower level personnels who are always be scolded or got after by their black superiors. The only white guy who gives orders is the old fat TSA supervisor. The soundtrack in the movie also sounds annoying and exaggerated too. I have to quit watching to write this negative review.
But the naivety, tardiness and amateurish behaviors and thinking of these two very likable young fighters sometimes would drive you crazy. They are always too slow to realize the incoming imminent dangers. The unnecessary conversation between these two and the lovely young woman are so annoying at the critical moments. It's too obvious that such dialogues between or among them are purposefully to make the thrilling and excitement become more intensified. But when you overdid it, it only shows how stupid and naive of these two young men when facing life and death situation. There are so many such overdone moments and scenes that would drive the viewers lose their patience.
What disappointed me most of this supposed to be great suspenseful thriller is the Final Episode. I've recently finished watching "Love Scout", a 2023 new Korean 12 episodes Romantic drama. The final episode of Bloodhounds is as worst as the final episode of Love Scout. Both last episodes completely ruined these two drama series. They just suddenly turned bad beyond comprehension.
But all in all, this series is a great one, if you could forgive its final episode. At least It has avoided a lot of annoying whining of the women and the formulaic clowns and jerks that usually.become a Must-have in most of the Korean TV drama series, even in their movies. Highly recommended, if you are getting tired of those stereotyped Korean romance comedies.
