It was a promising show, not unlike others that have popped up for crime show lovers. Colter, the main star, is nice eye candy but we need more if they want us to stay. His character is boring, his constant scowling and flat affect is boring, the continual tease of an interesting backstory reveal is tedious AND boring. Just tell us already! Then toward the end of the first season he has a sister and brother guesting, and it's still not interesting. For me the only bright spot has been the friend Reenie because at least she has a personality. The other costars offer very little value to this show either. It is Interesting though that it's been renewed for another season...but I predict it'll be the last.

Entertaining and FUN, worth a second showing!
19 January 2020
First of all, this is NOT a little kids movie! I doubt they'd understand the one-liners or get the humor. Also I think they'd be bored with the grownup talk. Next, forget any review you read that gives some highbrow, snotty reason why you shouldn't see this movie. It was simply great FUN and has many laugh out loud moments. Indeed it took a minute to reconcile "Tony Stark" as this weird, eccentric dude who talks to animals but he does a great job. And the animals were so entertaining and funny! We weren't looking to be educated or lectured at, we wanted to see a funny movie...and we certainly did. Definitely going again next weekend.

SO glad I watched!

9/10 because no movie is perfect but....we really enjoyed this! Car chases, blazing gunfire, explosions, daredevil stunting, unexpected funny moments, and a dude's head blows up ....what's not to love? And sincerely, I hope there's more to come.
(Of course the Debbie Downers of the techies and the Nellie Naysayers of "cinematography" will have bad things to say.)
But if you like action movies and Ryan Reynolds do as we didI this Christmas Eve - kick back, chill before the fam arrives, and enjoy a good flick. Merry Christmas ya filthy animals!

So LOUD and Exhausting
19 October 2019
I enjoy KC on The Voice, though she talks over the other judges too much. Now imagine a whole hour of this...!
She has a great lineup of guests but her constant interruptions with comments to say "OMG we're the same person" and words of affirmation that "YES me too!" are EXHAUSTING to the viewer and, I can only guess, the guest as well. And it's so LOUD! she's always yelling over her "cheering" audience. (Maybe the network can come out the pocket for a decent sound system and engineer?) Anyway, I miss the Steve Harvey Show and his natural gift for entertaining and comedy. I feel that the KC Show is a fad and will burn itself out.

Hard pass - save your money.
24 September 2019
Consider this a tip from a friend - DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME! It's my fault that I expected a fun, entertaining movie and didn't heed the user reviews that contradicted the critics' reviews. I, too, fell for the Critics' Hustle of an all-star cast but of course even the starriest of cast couldn't save this dog of a movie...not even a cameo from Usher.
This movie is NOT fun, it's NOT entertaining, and I really wanted to walk out but I'd paid my money and resolved to stay to the end. The 2 star rating is for the one scene that was funny enough to make me genuinely LOL. Other than that? shrugs.

Downton Abbey
(2019)
Glorious!
23 September 2019
*NO spoilers!* in this review of the glorious return of Downton Abbey! It was indeed glorious, and magical, to catch up with all of our favorites...the Dowager and Isobel, Carson and Mrs. Hughes, Anna and Mr. Bates....all are present to prepare for a visit from the king and queen! And the writers did a wonderful job in giving everyone a moment to shine individually in the film. It made for a well-rounded and complete story with nothing left hanging.
We laughed, we cheered, we cried - the movie is a brilliant triumph for all!

Fun Cooking Lessons!
11 June 2019
As a fan of the movie CHEF I was intrigued enough to check this cooking show out. What a fun find! I loved the guests and the conversations while they're prepping and cooking. Jon and Roy are a great pairing to host. My favorite: the Aaron Franklin episodes, so fascinated with the Texas bbq style he's mastered and I appreciated the lesson in how to make the brisket. Can't wait for the Hot Luck Festival 2020 😝
Last Man Standing
(2011–2021)
Back on top baby! Back on top!
22 August 2018
That's right, after being unfairly and unceremoniously cancelled at the end of season 6, the multitudes of outraged fans rose up and said NOT ON MY WATCH! Last Man Standing is at its core, a FAMILY show full of humor and heart. Led by Tim Allen and Nancy Travis as Mike and Vanessa Baxter, the show has dealt with many issues and differing opinions but always, in the end, chooses family over fight.
Returning in fall of 2018 for season 7 ( and hopefully many more), the Baxter family will look a little different but I'm confident the heart and soul of the show will remain.

Meh.

So much potential, so little satisfaction. Literally anyone could've played Debbie Ocean. Bullock's character was flat, angry, and boring with none of the charisma displayed by "brother" Danny or any of his squad. With an ensemble movie the magic is in the little things i.e. the Malloy brothers squabbling, fast talking Frank, sweaty Livingston, hip Brit Basher, and of course Saul Bloom, not to mention the host of others who made the O-11 such a great movie. Even Hathaway's full-on diva didn't raise a laugh. I'm just sorry I forgot my MoviePass and had to pay to see this movie. So disappointed.
