Blindspotting (2018)
Hard but funny
Great acting by Rafael Casal. The story is hard but the film makes me gloomy, it has a lot of fun moments. The only thing that bothers me is the rap of the main actor in some scenes, especially the key ones. That is not realistic for me. At a time in which I write this comment, the theme is more than actual.
The characters are carefully constructed but the dilemma remains, whether they are positives or negatives. I do not understand pathetic story about ordinary people - workers in America. They live hard lives, bad jobs - they have to move other people, nobody understands them ... so... the whole world lives like that. They live in a two-story house there, and in my country they rent a 30-square-meter apartment that they can never buy.
Downhill (2020)
bad copy
This is a stupid Hollywood idea for remake of the fantastic Force Majeure movie. It will be more watchable than the original even though it is much worse. Why make a remake of a movie from a couple of years ago. Why didn't anyone bother to sell the original in the US market.
6 Below: Miracle on the Mountain (2017)
beautiful mountains, bad luck
Environment of high mountains and untouched nature is beautiful to watch. Scenes from childhood and youth have been done with a cheap blur effect. These flashbacks are very poorly done. One flashback is enough to understand the point of the story. Their dismissal with the action of the film gained some other role. They do not talk about the main character, but only breaks the monotony that occurs with long scenes in the wilderness mountains. One of the best things in the film is the choice of the actor and his work. Josh is realistic and is perfect for this role. The true story is for every respect. It's really astonishing what a man can survive.
Eden (2013)
exaggerate
Scenario is problem. People's reactions after the crash are not natural. They choose the leader after only a day or two, divided into clans and fighting for power. Such behavior is not close to sportsmen and they should be socially responsible. There are not activities on signaling rescuers or similar things. No exploration of the island. There is no explanation for traps and explosion (motives taken from the Lost) The focus is on human nature, behavior, and domination, but too early and exaggerate.
The Way (2010)
Stereotypes
When the Americans make a film about the Europe they made product interesting only to Americans. The story is beautiful and the landscapes through which the actors are going unforgettable. But scenario is a weak point. Many platitudes and clichés. Characters from Europe are displayed with American models of behavior. Music is unadapted, especially modern music. The only song that was adapted to the movie scene is Spanish song on Gypsy celebration. The scene at the end when the main characters come to the cathedral is poor. There is take away the natural tone and inserted ambient music. The acting is good. But stereotypes are ruin the movie. This film should have to make some Spanish or French director.
