Branding in Seongsu-dong (2024)
Enjoyable so far
I'm at rpisode 18 and am quite surprised at the lower ratings thus drama received on other sites. Since the beginning of covid I got into Kdrama...initially I liked everything but as I grew more experienced I became more selective. The past year or so I found I often got into a drama but around the mid point I lost interest as the plots were repetitive and always they threw in some obvious misunderstanding to drag it out. 16 episodes is generally too long I find. This drama is 24 short episodes and in total is roughly 10 1 hour episodes. The leads have chemistry and the plot is certainly not as expected. I cannot wait for the last few as this is the first drama I became addicted too since The Glory.
I certainly recommend it.

Really good
I'm so glad I read there will be a season two. This drama was funny at times but emotionally hard hitting as it dealt with suicide and problems people face in modern day korea. To be honest I have developed some negative perceptions of modern day Korea from watching kdramas in general ... I understand they over empathize certain problems to create tension but if Korean society is even half of what they depict its pretty messed up.
Thos was a great series well acted and I highly recommend it.
Son: The Guest (2018)
Excellent
I'm not a huge horror fan but this one had genuinely s scary moments. A good story and cast full of twists and tensions. Certainly the best of its type I have seen in kdrama although it's a genre I usually avoid. Recommended.
Gan Tteoleojineun Donggeo (2021)
Personnally the best I have seen.
In most series there is one episode or character that ruins it slightly. Sometimes a great cast ad concept just doesn't do it for you...think hyde jekyll and me. It's subjective of course and different for everyone.
For me personnally this THE best fantasy romcom I have seen bar none. Everything just clicks for me, I love it. Obviously from the reviews not everyone agrees but I can watch this over and over. First time seeing Hyeri and I thought she was outstanding. The rest of the cast were also excellent. I have no problem rating this a TEN.
Hi Bye, Mama! (2020)
Very funny
One of my favorite kdrama. The sort of one I will speed watch to my favorite places whilst trying to find a new series to start. I can get through the whole series in 2 days and I still my favorite scenes funny or moving. Great cast and very enjoyable.
Aneun Waipeu (2018)
Very enjoyable.
Likeable leads and supporting cast. A nice story through 3 dimensions with some funny and emotional moments. One of my personal top 5 fantasy romcom as the lead is an actress I always like. Recommended.
Was It Love (2020)
Very entertaining
It's not a spoiler but you can skip the last episode..it doesn't change the outcome at all and requires the lead actor to make a completely unfathomable decision for fake drama. I can only think they added it because they had to write 16 episodes. U
p to then one of the best romcom kdrama I have seen ...definitly top 5 all time for me. Interesting characters, well acted and a nice lead actress. Some funny and emotional scenes. If not for the truly stupid final episode I could have rated it a ten.

Truly enjoyable
From the cover poster and through the first two episodes it seems you are getting a standard romantic comedy ghost story. Then it turns very dark and the comedy gets sidelined. I applaud the cast and crew for their attempt and I really enjoyed it. I am surprised it gets rated so low. The leads are excellent and the story is a Rollercoaster ride. Go in with an open mind and I don't think you will ge disappointed. 8 seems a little harsh .. I wokd have liked an 8.5 but I have to be honest or else this site is pointless. I can surely say I recommend this but be aware... you are going on a roller coaster.

Get past the first episode
The first episode drags and doesn't make a lot of sense so I stopped watching. About 2 months later a friend bugged me to try again and I'm so happy I did. From episode 2 through 16 I was hooked. A story about living and there were excellent performances throughout. It ws very moving and it stayed with uou the next day. Highly recommended.
Sikeurit Gadeun (2010)
Very good but needed some editing
A quite enjoyable series with two good leads. Perhaps a few episodes too long but some funny and emotional moments. Some of the supporting characters were over the top but it was an easy watch.
Haideu, Jikil, Na (2015)
Disappointing
I usually really like the two leads in this series and it had been recommended to me by friends. I was really looking forward to this show but just was unable to ger into it. I watched two boring episodes and then, based on friends, tried to carry on . I just couldn't get past the 3rd episode..I may try again later if I can't find other series but it really needs to improve. Perhaps I was expecting too much so if I wait and try later I may like it. Sorry but I can't give it more than a 4. It's subjective but I have to rate it as i eee it. If I give a 9 or 10 s it takes away from the purpose of this site. Very disappointed especially given the two leads.
Dan, Hanaui Sarang (2019)
Much better than I expected.
I was not expecting much from this series but I really enjoyed it. They say the lead actress is the best of her generation and after watching her in this and Mr Queen I can only think if one who approaches her level. The main lead was also very good as were the supporting cast.
A fantasy about an angel sent to earth with a mission to show a blind woman how to love. It sounds a bit soapy but was surprisingly suspenseful and emotional. You really were caught out by some plot twists. I have been watching kdrama since covid and this is certainly in the top 10, maybe the top 5 . It's subjective of course..what I like may not be to others tastes but in the genre of fantasy romance I would only rate My roommate is a gumiho above it. Excellent and the soundtrack is one if the best I have heard.
Binsenjo (2021)
Could have been so much better
First of all the lead actor was excellent, indeed all the actors did their best.. but the screenwriters and director couldn't seem to decide if this was a comedy or a thriller. The comedy was cartoonish as were most of the supporting roles. The lead actress ws great in Night in Paradise but here has to act like a clown.
This could have been a really good series if it had chosen one or the other genre but jumping from thriller to clownish comedy just didn't work for me. The Villian was written so cartoonist as to be totally unbelievable. I felt sorry for the actor forced to mouth the lines. Good try guys and gals but you were let down by the screenwriters.
Hyena (2020)
Not bad
A legal drama that had good and bad episodes. The start was good but it dragged a bit in the middle. The plot was a bit convoluted and sometimes made no sense. The two leads were good but the heroine was a itle old. The actress is good but I preferred her in Signal pr Juvenile Justice where she was cast for a part of an appropriate age. All in all a pleasant time waster but I wouldn't go out if my way to watch it.
