Terzi (2023)
Promising start but downhill with each season
The beginning had me hooked, and I feel like they should have just extended the amount of episodes and wrapped it up in one season. Season 2 was already started to drag out the storyline, and season 3 just went totally off the rails.
Stellar performances by Çagatay and Salhi as always. It's my first time watching the female lead. She was also very good, but I just wanted a little more.
Overall, amazing cast and chemistry. Beautiful cinematography and wardrobe. I'm glad I got around to watching it but would only recommend starting it if you're willing to sit through all the seasons, as the first two seasons don't have a very satisfying stopping point.
Marasli (2021)
One of the best Turkish dramas I've seen so far
Amazing story and actors! Every episode was exciting and kept me wanting more. The plot unfolded at a decent pace with good twists. I love both the lead actors, but I have to give a standing ovation to Burak. He did as he always does, took my breath away. An absolutely magnificent performance!
The minus one star is just for the writing of Alina's character, at least in the beginning. Mahur was hard to like at the start. I don't get how she didn't understand the gravity of the situation. She literally witnessed an organized murder of a prosecutor, would've been shot to death if Marasli wasn't there, then thought her dad was paranoid for giving her a bodyguard...just made everything difficult because of her stubbornness.
Ölene Kadar (2017)
Love it! But the end :(
Acting and chemistry was great! Exciting show with a pretty good premise. Just too bad it had to end like that. There wasn't enough time to flesh out a proper ending, and they really went with the most tragic and abrupt way possible. There was absolutely no justice for Daghan. He suffered til the very end for something he never did in the first place...
The only thing I really wasn't convinced by is how long it took Selvi to divulge her secret. Sure, she was scared and guilt-ridden, but obviously no one is going to blame a child. She didn't even know what was going on. She was manipulated by her brother and now has trauma from seeing a man get murdered right in front of her.
