The series tells the compelling story of a one-of-a-kind family, spanning generations of celebrated Turkish artists.
The art direction and production design are outstanding, highlighted by the meticulous reconstruction of the family's house on the Prince's Islands. This commitment to authenticity beautifully captures the spirit of the era, enriching the storytelling with remarkable detail.
While not a documentary, I truly hope the scriptwriters do justice to the family's rich history and offer viewers a glimpse into their iconic works.
Excited to dive deeper into the story as the upcoming episodes unfold.

Lacks depth in storytelling. Pacing is unbalanced: too quick on important facts so it can't get the viewer to care about the world around the story. Dialogs are too dumbed down and cliche, gets cringey at times. Lacks suspense and mystery of introduction of the main character. Too much focus on unnecessary details such as Alex being gay adds nothing to the story. A big miss with the "eternal waking" concept being replaced by eternal sleep. I was so excited to watch this with my family and SO. 15 minutes in I felt like an idiot for suggesting this show. I even renewed my netflix sub just for this, will be canceling it for good after this.
This is one if the most well crafted stories I've seen as series. It's very strong on world building and character development. Amazing production quality with great visual storytelling. One of the best acting direction I've seen, Ben Stiller makes his actors shine.
The severance of the brain seems to create a new person within the person. This new person has no personal history which makes it vulnerable, naive and open to corporate myths of a made up world. I see this as an allegory of our societies current "work life" which takes over our "real" lives.
The narrative leaves you wondering, thinking and speculating. The pacing is superb, builds up suspense and tension all the way to the season finale.
