Love Is in the Air (2020–2021)
9/10
Some of the best acting i have ever seen, with unmatched on screen chemistry.

Sen Cal Kapimi has some of the best acting i have ever seen. It's realistic, believable and the characters in the series are extremely relatable, making you feel like you're actually there with them.

Then, there's the chemistry. Hande and Kerem have arguably the best chemistry i have ever seen in television history.

The soundtrack is also part of what makes it so good. Excellent choice of music. It really helps convey emotions and give the viewer a sense of belonging.

But it's not all perfect. This dizi's only problem is the writing. It's not bad, but some episodes are clearly just filler. The first and the last 12 episodes are excellent. Season 2 is Sen Cal Kapimi at its best. Every episode is a masterpiece. But like i said, from episode 12 to 39, there's a lot of filler and some plot holes. Fox wanted to keep the series on the air for as long as possible, i understand that, but that's why i can't give it a 10.

If you like a good romantic drama with a bit of comedy, this is one you will want to watch and rewatch and likely will never forget.

The Oath (2017–2019)

A must watch!

As a westerner, this series is a breath of fresh air. America doesn't make series that display patriotism, love for your country and your fellow countrymen and women anymore. It's politically incorrect now, and you are called a far right Nazi if you like patriotism. But i digress. Soz has a great cast with great acting and a well written story full of memorable moments, accompanied by a solid soundtrack, and a solid ending. It's only problem was the sound effects and the special effects. In the current age, Turkey needs to do better when it comes to cgi and sound. Those can be easily overlooked, but like i said, They need to put more money on sound effects and CGI, in future series.

This is what we want. (not politics and social justice)

This is how you do a sequel. Top Gun: Maverick, is a surprisingly good time, specially given the current state of Hollywood. In some ways, it's even better than the original. It's also bittersweet, because it represents an America that no longer exists. It represents the end of an era, in many ways.

Having said that, it's a solid 8.5 for me, and well worth the money.

What else to say? The scenes with the f-18s are beautiful. Specially considering, most of them are 100% real. (no CGI) Tom Cruise, is Tom Cruise. Great acting, as always. Same goes for the rest of the cast. Pretty much all the roles were well acted.

This is how you do a movie. Wanna make money movie companies? Stop pushing politics and shoving social issues down our faces.

Not bad, but it could have been better.

The good:
  • great soundtrack (some of the best songs, i have yet seen on a Turkish tv show)
  • the shooting looks good (definitely not john wick level, but the shooting is well edited, with decent sounds, there are mag changes, and the good guys don't just spam full auto, which is rare, for even Hollywood standards.

  • solid acting (it was a great cast, in general)
The bad:
  • the lead characters, didn't have much chemistry
  • predictable plot
  • a bit boring at times. Could have been paced better. Maybe they should done more episodes, but limited to only an hour and maybe a bit longer if needed.

Overall, it's a 7 out 10 for me. Well worth watching and re watching later, but it had potential to be a lot better.

Bad start, but every episode, it gets better.

I don't think a 5.4 rating, is fair at this point. But i will admit, the first episodes, were pretty rough. Episode 1, was atrocious and episode 2, wasn't much better. However, by episode 3, it started getting better, and by episode 4, Seversin got much better. The series, is actually worth watching now.

The first episodes, were plagued by terrible pacing, character stereotypes, taken to the most extreme degree, and insultingly unrealistic plot points (even for a rom com), but by episode 5, all these problems, seem to have been dealt with, for the most part. Characters have finally started developing in a more realistic way, and the pacing, is a lot better. Seversin, is not boring to watch anymore, and it's actually worth a try now.
