Enemy (2013)
A complete waste of time.
Avoid! Avoid! Avoid!
What a complete waste of time. A spider comes out at the end? Seriously? I give the first part of the movie a 10. The second half is a -10. What on earth were they thinking when they put this mish-mash of nonsense together? Did anyone, director, actors, producer, anyone seriously think this trash of a movie could actually appeal to audiences? WTF is the plot? I mean seriously, what exactly is the plot? Good thing I didn't pay to watch this... I give up on adjectives, there are too many to mention here. Apparently the writer of the novel that inspired this trash died before he could explain to anyone what this nonsense was all about. Avoid!
Killers of the Flower Moon (2023)
Brilliant. Scorsese does it again.
Too long? Oh yes, absolutely. Would I have watched it at the theatre? No way. Instead we watched it in three goes at home, like a mini-series and it was simply fantastic. The acting is outstanding, the story plot is heartbreaking, the scenery is breathtaking. And needless to say Scorsese's artistry is at its best. People nowadays want quick reads, quick food, quick shows, quick everything so it's a relief to see that someone is actually taking their time to provide a quality product. A product that will no doubt be seen in decades to come as a work of art that helped give light to a dark moment in American history. Looking forward to Scorsese's next extra-long feature...
Jigeum uri hakgyoneun (2022)
Hilarious
If you want to have a good laugh with friends, you've come to the right place. I've reached the conclusion that this series was actually produced, funded, filmed,
directed and acted by the high school teenagers themselves. What a scream...
Pieces of a Woman (2020)
Pieces of a mess!
Seriously? 7.1? This doesn't even deserve 1.7! This is such a mish-mash of a mess I'm not even sure where to begin. Did I watch an unedited version of the film? I ask because watching 5 seconds of filming of a shoulder or neck or jaw several times throughout the film can actually be somewhat aggravating. The acting was a farce. The plot was embarrassingly childish. And how could a 90 year woman play the part of a mother of a 30 year old? Seriously, some TV movies are better than this pretentious puke. Over 2 hours long. 2 hours! My 14 year old nephew could have done better with his iPhone as an arts class project.
A-V-O-I-D!!!
An Uncommon Grace (2017)
Excellent film, if you suffer from insomnia.
Seriously, if you have trouble sleeping, this is the film for you. Acting? Embarassing. Plot? Even more embarrassing. The best part of the film is that you sleep right through it.
Gold (2016)
Gold? Bronze, if that...
Sorry, love McConaughey's acting but the movie just didn't take off. Wouldn't say boring, but pretty close. Pity...
Twitch City (1998)
20 years young
Despite being over 20 years old, this series is as fresh as a cool, sunny spring day in Canada. What a wonderful series. Shame Canada hasn't produced anything similar since...
Last Night (1998)
Yes!
Watched this again after watching it 20 years ago. A criminally underrated gem. I liked it then, but I love it now. Wish Canadians would make more films like this. What ever happened to Don McKellar?
Snowpiercer (2020)
It's NO piercer
Appalling acting + Boring plot + PC nonsense = Waste of time
