WOW. This movie not only scared the crap out of me, I'm just completely in awe on how flawless this movie was made. Talk about pushing the envelope to give just enough without being too much.. sort of. The cinematography was amazing, so hats off to the DP! Writing, directing and everyone involved did outstanding. The ending, wow! What a genus writer. The main actress, amazing job to give so much in every scene. I wonder is she slept well after each and every day of giving 100%. What an emotional role. I have 21 more words to fill in this box, I just wanted to commend the whole team on this movie. I can't wait to see what's next.
I was invited to see this movie and after reading the reviews, I thought what the hell. Why not see a movie at 10PM in this disgusting theater in Dallas, and WHY a premiere??? I had to leave an hour in because I couldn't hear a damn word. The crowd attracted to this movie is utter trash. If you've seen Gremlins, that scene of all them in the theater, that's the crowd. Loud. Throwing spoons? Drunk. Making inappropriate comments about body parts and screaming random stuff trying to be funny. I work too hard to be surrounded by idiots and yeah, I said it. So now this movie... I gave it an honest 3. Wish I could've heard the damn thing! They did a lot of nonsense improving, talking over each other yet I could tell they spent a lot on the shark and CGI. The acting wasn't bad, I've seen worse. The scenes were cut weird and drawn out but that's what makes these movies so popular I guess. I'll never know what happens unless it's screened in the comfort of my own clean home. If Tommy decides to make more movies and he wants a premiere, premiere them in a normal theater to weed out the trash.
A bunch of artsy fartsy hipsters got together and made an art house movie with a bunch of long drawn out scenes with long dialogue and weird angles. The acting I thought was good except for 2 characters. The lead female is great. The long legs character, played by Nic Cage, looks like a mix of 'The Mask', The 'Saw' puppet and women who over do the Botox and fillers. Nic did a great job acting like a complete weirdo in this film. There are a few scenes I thought were somewhat strange, plus I HAVE to write something long enough to prove I sat through this art film. I mean why go out into the woods when a figure is out there to leave your door open and see a man walking around only to possibly fool the audience to think that you're nuts??? And the ending? Idk..I don't understand.. I do know someone gave NEON a few million to make this. My whole point here..ART HOUSE FILM.
