Random Acts of Flyness (2018)
Who wrote this???
As a fan of surrealist art, this blows me away! So smart and creative!!! I started watching out of curiosity and I'm hooked. The production level is amazing. Weaving stories through dance, animation, poetry, and song is ovation worthy. I can't express how happy I am that someone has forged a show not for the masses but for viewers that are willing and wanting to go on the journey they offer. The acting, writing and production toggles my thoughts between loving its existence and questioning how it exists. Each episode starts with some theme and pushes that to a dream like conclusion. From fantasy to illusion to nightmares to the long breath upon waking and realizing the purpose of the dream, this show begs you to think about what you've just watched. Prepare to take the journey they offer you. Bravo!
Ancient Apocalypse (2022)
Everyone is arrogant but me!
Guy with no background in geology, history, nor archeology has a "theory". Provides no real evidence but calls everyone in evidence based disciplines "arrogant" for not agreeing with him. Is perfectly comfortable citing archeological, geological, and historical records when they suit his needs, and also claims all lack of evidence on his part means he's onto something. This series should be fourth in line for "watch next" on YouTube after you've exhausted all the blurry Bigfoot trail cam videos, and not on Netflix (Seriously, Netflix???) Pro tip: if you're starting your "documentary" with "Hey, Joe Rogan agrees with me", you're probably wrong.
