Where to begin. This movie reminded me of "Drive" with Ryan Gosling. I have interviewed the author of that movie, Jim Salis. Another perfect movie. Daniel H. Pink narrated Drive, and wrote a non-fiction book called Drive. (Motivational.) Along with other titles no one seems to have made the link to. Back to Collateral. The writers such as Rick Garcia and Rene Reyes have concocted the perfect image of Los Angeles from a taxi, based on the script by Stuart Beattie. In Drive Gosling was a stuntman driving stolen cars in Los Angeles, and went on to "La La Land." I have written a prequel to Collateral set in the Florida Keys in the 1980s titled "The Key to Vincent." It is included in my new book "Cat on a Cold Tin Roof," along with a novella set in Dubai, where Tom scaled the Burj Khalifa. Will Smith's wife was in The Matrix with Keanu Reeves, one of the humblest actors of John Wick and Inception, among others. Collateral is underrated and didn't make much money, but it has a killer sound track, and Jamie Foxx is one of the few friends of Tom on Facebook, highly talented and with a new memoir out. A must see movie, this, directed by Michael Mann, who is represented by The Story Factory. Javier Bardem has dialogue with Foxx in a nightclub that is classic, and in a jazz club there is much appreciation with a surprising twist. The dialogue is available via search. "Homie, is that my briefcase?" Why would anyone fault this movie? Three thumbs up. And a half. THE END. Read on.
Paul Giamatti went on from this role to many other movies and television series, including "Billions," which featured Mark Cuban and several other Shark Tank alums. It is free on Prime. The other main actor in Billions was in a Stephen King thriller. All of the Rex Pickett novels including this groundbreaking one were narrated by Scott Brick, a friend. Pickett sells Sideways wine, and is also a friend on Facebook. Sandra Oh won an Oscar, and was also a narrator for the late radio drama icon Yuri Rasovsky, who directed Kristoffer Tabori in my 2003 novel Fame Island. Tabori is on IMDB as an Emmy winning director and actor of movies, television series, video games, and more. Do you begin to see why I gave this movie 10 stars? Oh! And don't forget to listen to Scott reading the audiobook. He's the number one narrator out there, and contributed to my memoir "Post Office Confidential."
Was on a motorcycle south of Tucson once, near a winery in Elgin when I happened upon a film crew filming a biplane circling overhead. I had to pause because they told me "There's a UFO chasing the plane." I asked who the star was, and was told it was Martin Sheen. "Where is he?" I asked, "in the biplane?" The answer was "no, he's in that trailer up ahead." I didn't wait, but turned back because I was running out of gas, and no gas stations in the area. Plus who knew how long the takes would take?
I have also visited the Roswell museum in NM. There is an alien autopsy room there which my sister took a photo of with me in the photo. This was in 2018. She died in 2019, related to cancer. There are also photographs of the site and newspaper clippings and a mock-up of the UFO with aliens. The museum doesn't take sides. They want both believers and non-believers. I'm a non. The evidence is flimsy. Shredded, flimsy weather balloon secreted away by the Air Force. Thoughts on this, credited with starting the UFO craze?
