This series has its special vibe with the music and location (mix of urban Belgrade and the small town of Subotica). The plot takes off good and reaches its peak in Ep 8 (especially if you lived in the old Yugoslavia), and then just fallls aparts just like the main character. The mixture of Broen and Xmen seems two much to hold it together with politics. The last two episodes the plot and acting should be changed and the series would be excellent. In the end no character is important, just the Serbian Secrect Service elusive influence on all processes and people in Serbia. With no backdrop info about these people this series was a very good try which missed the main target.
For me this movie was utterly boring, at the end I just didn't care what will happen. Why? Because the characters have just not stick on me. There is no chemistry between the main characters, the moment when they try to be funny was awkward not funny (except the grins of Arni). Emilia is just to fragile for this part and has baby face and is not believable. Jason Clarke just has not the "mojo" to bring this out. The story-line tries to be smart with the complicating alternative time things but this is baby food for Inception for example. A sour end to a good series. And how was Arnie upgraded in melting polymer metal at the heart of explosion?
One of the weakest movie of the year. Bad acting, bad editing and a very big hole in the concept. The biggest mistake was to hire Travolta for the part. Irritating bad acting and horrible accent. Why didn't they get a local ex Yugoslaw actor (plenty of them) instead of Travolta. It would be more convincing, the feel would be more authentic. With Travolta it is ridiculous. The second mistake is the screenplay. The elaborate 'discussion' of a former war criminal is just not believable and the need for apology is stupid. These guys put a bullet in your head without any philosophical 'background' in the real world. And the peace making at the end is just awkward after several attempts of killing each other. It was definitely waste of time...
