Signs (2002)
Unbelievable
This film was absolutely unbelievable. I loved every second of it. Mel Gibson performed beautifully, as always, as a father and former reverend that lost faith after his wife died. Joaquin Phoenix was excellent as Gibson's little brother, Merrill, who was once a minor-league baseball player. Rory Culkin and Abigail Breslin are both equally impressive as Gibson's children. Culkin as his asthmatic son, who believes that the crop circles are real from the very beginning. Breslin is as adorable as she is talented and always seems to stick by her brother. An all-around thriller that keeps you on the edge of your seat and wondering "hey hey are they going to get out of this alive?!" It scared the sh*t out of me and, even though I scare surprisingly easily, I heard the screams from the rest of the audience in the theater. It is a movie that I would go see again...and again...and again...
The Lottery (1996)
Completely disgusting
I found this movie completely sickening and disgusting. Now I'm not one to give out bad movie reviews but this was just horrible. There's no question about it, something was mentally wrong with the person who wrote this. It's just unbelievably inhumane. The ideas in the movie are just so farfetched and horrible, I can't believe someone actually would want to see a movie about people getting pelted to death with rocks by their friends and family and neighbors all because they won a lottery. It's just a stupid movie. I reccomend that if it's on, just keep channel flipping.
The Babysitter (1995)
In A Word? Confusing
This movie made absolutely no sense to me. Maybe because I'm only fourteen, but I watched it with my mom and I have to say I think you'd have to be a genius to follow along. Everyone seems to have some sort of obsession with Alicia Silverstone...sure, she's pretty, but how can at least 3 guys have such similarly perverted visions about the same girl? I mean, even the kid had a vision of her and he's, what, TEN? She's pretty but we can't over-exagerate ((sorry, I'm not great with spelling and grammar, I'm still a kid)) on it. Whoop-di-do what's so great about her? Maybe it's because I'm a girl? Well whatever it was, I personally found this movie unbecoming and confusing.
P.U.N.K.S. (1998)
Loved it!
Okay, I got to say, I did love this movie. I know that it's been criticized but I liked it alot. I thought that Brandon Baker was *ADORABLE* in it and Jessica Alba has become one of my current favorite actresses and she's good in my book along with Kristen Kruek. But it's a good kids movie, something that my little brothers might enjoy, so it has my approval
