This film is really, really good, and I mean it. Although it is not your typical thriller, as it unveils the mistery quite soon in the story, it keeps you interested in how the story unfolds. The best thing it does, as I understood it, is creating an uncomfortable feeling of acceptance of what's happening between the characters and the viewers: they don't tell you directly, but you already know the context and the reality behind everything. That is presented through some really tense moments during the film, showed to us in different conversations and moments that just make everyone go silent.
On the other hand, we have Leo DiCaprio acting, which is always great, but let me talk about Rober DeNiro: my god what he did in this film is just ridiculous. He is giving this character everything he has, and it ends up being the main focus of the movie. His role is simply amazing. The rest of the cast also provide us great performances, but these two just carry the whole film.
Another thing I liked is the importance they give to the Native American culture, their people, their rites, their costumes... Maybe it's just a personal preference, but I really like the time Scorsese dedicates to this aspects in many scenes. I think it is really well portrayed, you can feel how they suffer, how they connect to each other and to everything around them, how they find themselved powerless and their culture, diminished.
However, there is something which take this film away from perfection: the last hour or so, when everything that has happened is on the table; you already know the most part of what's abbout to follow, so I think it was unnecesary long and slow. But, again, I'm only speaking about the last third of the film. It may not seem enough lower it's marks so much, but I think it is a fair number, overall. Soundtrack also was a bit lacking, specially taking into account the context of the film, which had great potential for a big soundtrack.

It is curious what I have felt with this show: I have mixed emotions. But first of all, even though I haven't read any of the books, I'm pretty sure the showrunners have cut out a lot of content from the source material and adapted the remaining parts to the TV format (specially, taking into account how rushed the last episode was); and that always ends up in a mess.
Still, I enjoyed both seasons all the way, although the first one was better paced and more coherent. As a fantasy show, it's good, nothing especial, but the lore is well explained and it doesn't get overwhelming. Special effects could be better, as we are talking about Amazon, and I think they didn't invest as much as they could to make it look nice (as they did, for example, with "The Rings of Power").
But sometimes it lacks charm, charisma, and that comes as a result of the poor acting: I know most of the actors are probably newcomers, and there are some that are doing their best and it is noticeable; but there are others that make their characters forgettable and even annoying, as they don't add anything to the show.
I hope the following seasons increase quality and make for a cohesive, epic story. The potential is there. All we can do is wait.

This film is a damn masterpiece. There are not enough words to propperly describe it and, at the same time, few sentences can truly explain how good this film is. And i can't say its flawless, but its "flaws" are so escarce and so minimum that the don't really matter.
First thing I want to mention about this work of art is the acting performances. With a cast so stacked of stars, you would think some of them may not have the expected performances or even enough screen time (which I think is something that happened to Rami Malek, whose talent seemed a bit underappreciated): but it is the exact opposite. Everyone's performances are top tier, charismatic, powerful, memorable. It sounds too optimistic but they really are, but this is also due to the opportunities the film offers; it's almost three hours of intense, long, fast dialogues, in an exchange of politics, philosophy and physics terminology; and I have to be very honest here, this is not a story that can be missed even a bit. You may come after a brief bathroom break and find yourself lost in the plot. But it's all worth the attention. Its pace is perfect, and the three hours go by like nothing.
Then we have, of course, the soundtrack and the photography, two aspects that are always perfectly taken care of in Nolan's films. So adecuate, so well prepared, you feel like every scene matters, you don't want to miss a single shot, a single sound.
But what really surprised me and the thing I enjoyed the most is that the film talks about many other topics that are not shown in the trailer, so you come into it with an expectation and receive much more.
With time, I'm sure it will be considered as a classic film, one of the best of 2020's decade, for shure.
