This movie is designed to shock and appall and get you really thinking about modern beauty standards and what you will do in order to achieve that standard.

This film subjects you, the viewer to many aspects of modern society and how aesthetics based we are, and that our worth is determined by our beauty. It's a narrative on all that is wrong with modern beauty standards on social media and in on billboards and in magazines, it's shocking and yes so what the last 20 minutes descend into a Cronenberg nightmare, but shouldn't it???

The moral of the story, in my humble opinion, be careful what you ask for. You might just get it.

I quite enjoyed this and many comments here talk about the movie being in two parts and I am inclined to agree. However I enjoyed both immensely, the storyline was very intriguing and the first half builds the mystery and the second half was fun and a good monster movie.

I think the second half could have delivered more of a punch, but it was very enjoyable watching! I have no real complaints except the ending, it was on the cheesy side and sightly unexplained and I would have enjoyed a slightly less atypical ending more, but I didn't feel like this was an hour and 45 minutes of my life I regretted spending on the movie!
