Cadet Kelly (2002)
Was cute, but not accurate.
I'm in a high school with a junior ROTC program and I thought this movie didn't capture everything entirely accurate. Kelly would've been expelled for the way she acted. And that clap thing they did, there is nothing quite just like that drill team wise in real life. There are teams classified as unarmed exhibition, but they would never really do things the way they did. Military bearing was not kept in the clap thing they did, which judges never would've liked. Otherwise, to anyone oblivious to they way things really are, it's a good movie.
Ever After (1998)
Truly wonderful
I have seen this movie four or so times over a few years and it has not grown the slightest bit dull. There is a powerful cast, this is my favorite Drew Barrymore role. With no magic, it manages to still be as charming and entertaining as any other Cinderella story; if not more. The step mother and one step sister are truly evil, and I liked that they kept one step sister kind and compassionate. Leonardo da Vinci was a great character with a couple of humorous scenes (walking on water, "Yes, I shall go down in history as the man who opened a door!") and why he was there for some scenes when he would've been inventing something was beyond me, but he was still wonderful. The prince is still a Prince Charming figure, yet human. I'd refer anybody to watching this movie, it's definitely a 9/10!
Boy Meets Girl (1998)
Very cute and very original!
I found the bit of Angelina speaking English made perfect sense. The Jones couple dropped those rose petals onto their shoulders, making Mike and Angelina able to understand each other perfectly. What didn't make sense were the Jones, they were all magical. How were they able to do those things and all? Like the words shining through the wallpaper...
But otherwise, it was a very good movie. And like always, Sean Astin did an awesome job!
White Water Summer (1987)
I loved it!
I just caught this movie on TV and I thought this movie was great. I liked how they had older Alan (Sean Astin) giving his little comments, they were great especially the egg part and the part where he says, "Over there is Attigawa. They flung him into the sky. He is enemy of the land. I think we'll take Alan's knife."
Sean Astin did really good playing a little wimp who eventually becomes the leader of them all. And Kevin Bacon did awesome too at playing a guy I couldn't stand and nearly turned the TV off because of him.
The music was just too.... I don't know. Maybe I would've liked the music better if I had been around in the eighties.
All in all, I gave it a 10/10.
