First of all: I am a fan of TBBT, so the idea of the show sounded interesting to me from the get go, and I like Sheldon Cooper, sue me 🤷♀️. That's enough to get you hooked if you give it enough time. The first couple episodes might seem too slow, or it might seem like the actors are still getting used to their parts, and that's because all that's true, but it is so worth the small wait!
The thing is, the star of the show is not our Young Sheldon, the stars end up being all the whimsical people that surround him. Die hard fans of TBBT that don't want to see any inconsistencies with what was said in the original series might be a little upset, but personally, I am not.
I love Meemaw, Missy, Georgie and even Sheldon's father grows on you. They're all fully developed characters living their own lives and it just enriches the show even more!
The reason I didn't give this a 10 was the last season. I am not sure why they had to wrap it up in what seemed a rather quickly pace, I know Sheldon was growing etc but it seems the writers/directors were worried about the fans complaining about the inconsistencies I mentioned before, and tried to wrap it up as best as they could while rushing.
I laughed more on a single episode on any other season than I did throughout the entirety of season 7, and then when things were supposed to be actually really sad, moments fell surprisingly flat.
Anyway all this just to say I'll prob rewatch it several times as a comfort show, just not the last season :D.

I am not sure I can finish this, they're interviewing these women that still fully believe in Warren Jeff. I kid you not, one of these women said "Uncle Warren just wanted to protect us" "the only thing he did that got some people agitated was to make us follow the rules" ... I am genuinely in disbelief. Way too much focus on the happy times and too little focus on this man having relations with children! I don't know if I should pity these women or blame them for letting these awful things happen right in front of their eyes and being brainwashed enough to sit here now and tell us how it was a magical time in their lives, like huuuh??????
POWERFUL watch, specially now. Certain quotes will stay with me forever. It's so rare to find the kid's side of the story in this conflict, they're constantly used as media lure but no one hears FROM THEM.
Here you see them telling their story through their eyes, you don't hear much of the incidents, just enough. What they really focus on is the aftermath, the impact this has on people too young to fully understand what's happening.
Perfect, for people who don't understand what the situation was prior to the latest events, really shows you the hopelessness these children were already living in.
