Overall this is a show that breaks the definition of anime in the same sense that poetry redefines literature. Unlike the memory, or nostalgia captured in other shows this show is truly a one of a kind masterpiece that forces you to live.
An experience unlike any other, yet so familiar you can't help but connect with it, this show is a work of art. Replicating the confusing world that is the journey of coming of age, this show forces you to decipher it through the logic, and emotions of a teenager. A sensation you can't understand or appreciate until after the fact, and yet still can't explain to anyone even though we've all been through the exact same experience. That being said, each viewing is so uniquely intimate in the way it forces you to relive your life along with its' characters in all its messy imperfection you can't help but be hooked.
