I went into this movie with zero expectations. What I found was a genuinely charming and hilarious little holiday romp. The humor is surprisingly sharp and even a bit dark at times, the source of it mostly being the cynical dog Jasper. Still, it is genuinely heartwarming without being saccharose. Holidays wise it portrays Christmas as more of a secular thing, though a joke does involve the Pope.
Overall something to chill with.

Like it's predecessor Prehistoric Planet, this series brings to life prehistoric animals with extreme photorealism and scientifically accurate behaviours. Of note are it's depiction of Teratornis, shown rightfully as an agile aerial predator rather than a scavenger, and the fight between two female Diprotodon, which might very well be the first time interspecific fighting between females has been showed in a paleo-documentary.
I do think it's weird that the series plays fast and loose with nomenclature. For example the aforementioned Teratornis and Megaloceros get their scientific names out and about, while the glyptodont species are only ever refered to as "armadillos". What's up with that?
Overall a fantastic series and great recommendation.

The Glassworker is about a man named Vincent who inheritted a glass working career from his father. Meanwhile, war brews, and we the hardships that come with it.
A landmark in Pakistan's animation, it it 2D animated in a style very similar to Japan's Studio Ghibli. In fact one can call it a "pseudo-Ghibli movie", as it shares many aesthetics like an European-esque turn of the century setting and vivid displays of making something (in this case being glass, not food).
It doesn't shy away from mature themes - this is a war movie, after all - and overall there is a sense of how wonder can persevere in such harsh conditions.
A solid recommendation and I hope Pakistan gets to make more movies like this.
