A movie that grasps a lifetime.
This is one of the only films that really captures life, life in all its beauty, unpredictability, and vastness. The film itself in ways is vast in the sense of how much aspects of life it manages to underline, expose and convey. The way this film depicts Will is very unique, they don't give him a straightforward backstory the way a normal plot line would, instead they spread it out throughout the whole film, eventually creating a complex character in your mind. This movie really shows acceptance and moving on, sometimes it seems that life is perfect in ways, you can either leave it that way and never see beyond that or move on, see the world and it's imperfections.
Overall a terrific film.

Overall not too bad.
Although this movie has a lot of lacking features it does have a sustained plot and character development. This film is straightforward, it gives you the answers without the need to solve them, there isn't much of a deeper meaning which can be good for many movies. This movie however needed a little depth to make it more meaningful, from face value it's a solid film, decent plot and interesting storytelling however it lacks some sort of edge, some risk. The film symbolises how most American families live, how they accept their reality or run away from it, how some people stay where they are and others seek something larger and more meaningful. Overall an alright film.

An awfully straightforward film.
There are thousands of movies like these, they're all very understandable, predictable and to in the box. Throughout the film the themes of grief and revenge are explored in very colloquial senses, very simple, not abstract and just confined. The film although had a plot it was not unique nor compelling. The drama got repetitive and overall the story itself was far too generic to be meaningful. Although the plot is sorrowful and miserable it's just too basic for my liking, it lacks depth and symbolism, far too two dimensional. The film symbolises how revenge is provoked and how a maniacs brain can lead them to horrible acts. Overall an average film.
