Ben 10 (2005)
Nostalgic but
Because of my nostalgia, I expected much more from this drawing. In these forty-nine episodes I gave a rating and the average was 6.71. There are some very good episodes but there are some that are horrible. I don't understand Kevin's fandom, people love him but I can't feel a shred of empathy for him, the worst character in the classic saga for me, all the episodes that had him as the main villain I gave him a low rating. My favorite characters were Gwen and Charmcaster. I didn't know several things, for example, I didn't remember Gwen casting spells, I remembered very little about the aliens, the new ones he got in this classic saga I only remembered Bola and I didn't even know how he managed to capture them. Series Ended on September 24, 2023.
Kyle XY (2006)
Grata Beginning but bad middle and horrible ending
It's incredible how a series that had such a good first season only got worse. It was so good when Kyle was just a being with super intelligence but he started gaining random powers and becoming an X-men. My first season average was 9.00. While my second season average was 7.74. And lastly, last season had an average of 2.20. Final average was 6.74. Mrus favorite characters were Amanda, Andy and Josh. While a character that I didn't like from the beginning and made the series considerably worse for me was Jessie. Great beginning but bad middle and bad ending. Series Ended on September 23, 2023.
Chernobyl (2019)
Wonderful
It's incredible what harm human beings can do in the world. I already knew that this miniseries was tense because it was based on facts but I didn't think it was that much. I ran a marathon today, because it was my 27th birthday (21/09) and I wanted to feel angry at people but I didn't know I would feel so much. How angry I am with Anatoly and his superiors and one of them got to work at another plant. I was seeing the negative criticism here and it's scary that people are still in favor of the Soviet Union. It's a very didactic series for laypeople like me to watch. These five or so hours flew by. Series Ended on September 21, 2023.
Fast Layne (2019)
Horrible
I know it's for children and I'm almost twenty-seven years old and I'm not the target audience but there are some children's programs that are fun even for adults but this one is far from that. Several continuity errors during some scenes, horrible direction and script. The two main actresses are good, especially Sofia Rosinsky who is very funny, but the other actors and actresses are horrible, I always hoped that just the two of them would appear because it would be more tolerable. My average of these eight episodes in this single season was 2.13. I saw the media here and I didn't think it was that bad but it is. Series Ended on September 20, 2023.
Gravity Falls (2012)
Awesome
Wonderful series. My favorite characters were Mabel and Waddles. While what I didn't like was Gideon. My average for the first season, which contained twenty episodes, was 8.10. While the second season which contained twenty-one episodes was 9.38. The final average of the forty-one episodes was 8.75. Just wonderful. First time I watched it and it was wonderful. I even cried in the last episode with the goodbyes. Captivating characters. One thing that I found incredible about this series was that the developers thought of just everything, I'm amazed so far with that Time Traveler episode, the ninth episode of the first season, where Mabel gets Waddles and they meet the weather guy. I found it incredible that going back to the episodes he appears exactly where he is shown in that episode. Something that many series/films/animes don't even care about, these other media prefer to ask questions and then we have to guess the answers. Here in Gravity Falls it's rewarding.
Allegiant (2016)
Not
Ending this saga. I don't know if I'm devoid of intelligence or if this trilogy is really confusing. I swear I understood the first one but this third film ended and I was left with more questions than answers. In this trilogy Ansel is acting like Kirsten Stewart in Twilight, he probably knows how to act since he wrote the most famous novel of the century and people liked it. But I didn't think he did anything decent about Theo James, maybe he really is bad. Maybe if there was one more film I would understand, but since there isn't, I have to pretend I understand. You don't need to talk to read the books. Both media have to work on their own. Film Watched on September 16, 2023.
Insurgent (2015)
Not good
Continuing my marathon of this saga. It must have been great to watch this film in 3D, unfortunately I didn't have that pleasure. Is there any explanation for why the needle "goes in" and doesn't make any holes in the skin, or was it really a mistake? Ansel Elgort seems to be very uncomfortable "acting" in this film or he just didn't know how to act in this film. Theo James has had zero charisma since the first film and nothing has changed here. Maybe I was too hasty thinking it was a good saga but there's just one more film left and it gets better but I think it's difficult since there was no ending. Film Watched on September 16, 2023.
Divergent (2014)
Good
Starting this marathon of this saga. And a good movie. Some characters are interesting. But I believe it could have been better. I already know that there is no ending to this trilogy, so I'm just going to finish it, it won't be a sacrifice since it's not bad. I don't know if it will change but for now my favorite characters are Christina (Zoe Kravitz) and Tris (Shailene Woodley). Even though I'm really excited to know what's going to happen, the ending ended in an interesting part. I liked having shown the training a lot but the thing about being a Divergent left me with so many doubts. Film Watched on September 16, 2023.
The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 2 (2012)
Awesome
Finishing this wonderful saga, how will I survive without this work of art of world cinema? (obviously it contains irony). It's incredible how the only good scene in the entire saga is a hallucination (and it's not even that good). This saga has infinite problems and one of them is undoubtedly an adult falling in love with a baby and fans not bothering and even shipping it, any type of romance that this saga portrays is sick, from the abusive relationship between Edward/Bella/ Jacob, this imprinting thing that even involves "pedo....." between an adult and a baby. Oh, I love the song A Thousand Years. Film Watched on September 16, 2023.
The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 1 (2011)
Horrible
Continuing my marathon of this saga. It's still bad but this film flowed better than New Moon and Eclipse. I don't know if Kirsten lost too much weight in this film or if it was makeup or computerized special effects, but if it was one of the last two alternatives, then at least congratulations on that. Dialogue, script and acting continue to be horrible. There's only one more film left, I'll be able to finish this saga. It's a horrible saga, there's nothing to be gained from this saga but there are much worse things that happened. Now we have to wait for one of the worst CGI ever made in world cinema in the next film with Renesmee. Film Watched on September 16, 2023.
The Twilight Saga: Eclipse (2010)
Horrible
Continuing my marathon of this saga. Jodelle Ferland around here? Poor thing, at least she made money but she's such a good actress but she's in such a mediocre film. I don't mind the love triangle, sometimes it's good but none of the three have charisma, maybe Jacob, but you have to make an effort to see some good acting between them. I don't know which is worse, the dialogue or the acting. I believe it's the script because there are such good actors and actresses in this saga. Jodelle, for example, tries to act well in this film, but the script doesn't allow it. Film Watched on September 16, 2023.
The Twilight Saga: New Moon (2009)
Horrible
Why do I dare in these marathons? The first film already had abusive and toxic moments but this one surpasses them in that regard. It doesn't make any sense for the Cullen family to abandon Bella since in the first film they didn't put a collar on her so she wouldn't leave their side. Harry Potter's werewolf is a thousand times better and it was made years before this abomination. Does everyone read minds in this saga? Based on the average grades, I already had in mind that it would be worse, but it exceeded expectations negatively. The script can be worse and still manages to be incoherent with what was done in the first film. Film Watched on September 15, 2023.
Twilight (2008)
Bad
I swore that what people said was bad was a lie and that because I loved The Vampire Diaries I would like it but it is so poorly directed, poorly written and poorly acted. I've never seen a film where Kristen Stewart has charisma so that's normal for her. But in this film there are actors and actresses who are very good in other films and series that the only plausible explanation for this being so bad is the direction and script. All actors and actresses are completely without charisma and seem to have unlearned how to act. I only compared it to The Vampire Diaries because the idea is the same teenage romance with vampires and a love triangle. But Damon and Klaus have more charisma than the entire cast of this film. (made me want to rewatch The Vampire Diaries). Film Watched on September 15, 2023.
Pitch Perfect 3 (2017)
Not good
Without a doubt, this is the worst of the trilogy. In none of these three films did I like Rebel Wilson, I think she's quite boring, but in the first two films at least the script helped, here that doesn't even happen. I thought Ruby Rose was going to be the villain in the film but she disappeared in the film. Hailee is unfortunately missing from this film. In the beginning it was good until it looked like the actor who gave the original voice to Lord Farquaad, it was better to show the rivalry between Ruby Rose. I wanted to be contrary and say that this film is good but according to a philosopher who loves pink "I shouldn't tell lies". Film Watched on September 15, 2023..
Pitch Perfect 2 (2015)
Awesome
Barack and Michelle Obama, Snoop Dog, villain from Alvin and the Chipmunks and five seconds of Pentatonix? All that was missing was the wizard Ronaldinho Gaúcho to complete this random role. I preferred this film a thousand times over the first in several aspects. One of them is that even though Anna Kendrick's lack of charisma continues as the main role, an actress full of charisma, Hailee Steinfeld, enters. As much as they reduced the songs, I found this film funnier. I remember hearing this original final song on The Voice Kids in Europe, I don't remember which country but I remember that the judge was moved. Even though I'm not a fan of the first film, I still got goosebumps at this song. Film Watched on September 15, 2023.
Pitch Perfect (2012)
Nice
Maybe if I watched this film when I was a teenager I would have liked it more. I'm from 1996, I grew up watching High School Musical, Hairspray and Glee (in fact, the way Beca is discovered by the choir is the same way they discover Cory's character in Glee). Later, as an adult, I watched musicals like Descendants, Zombies and Hamilton. Both very good, but one thing I missed in this film is the charisma of the characters. Maybe if I try hard I can see Beca's charisma but compared to other musicals, that's very little. They have a "Regina George" but it's extremely boring. It's obviously predictable, so I won't judge that. The things I liked were that competition that had Russian roulette choosing the type of music, the Bellas' final performance was interesting too. It's not something I would rewatch again, maybe just this last performance where they sing several songs in one. Film Watched on September 15, 2023.
Children of the Corn (2020)
Very horrible
Ending this horrible saga, hopefully it will take a while for another film to be released. The villainous child in the other films was never scary, maybe Isaac, I like Eli from the third film but I'm aware that he's not scary. But this child actress, who is the spitting image of actress Klara Castanho when she was a child, just makes the film look cute and isn't scary at any point, it even turns into a comedy at various points. Perhaps the biggest mistake of my life was having marathoned 10 films from this saga in 3 days. Horrible acting and script. Horrible. Film Watched on September 14, 2023.
Children of the Corn: Runaway (2018)
Sleep
There's only one more film left, I'll be able to finish this horrible saga today. It took me a century to find this film and I still found it in the original language with US subtitles, it was good to practice my English. I didn't make it past twenty minutes. What beginning was that? Is this film a sequel to a film in this saga that I haven't seen? I understood nothing. I'll rate it as I felt in these long twenty minutes. If you're a warrior and want to finish it, please let me know if it's any good. Horrible but i don't watch .everything so i don't know. Movie "watched" on September 14, 2023.
Children of the Corn: Genesis (2011)
Horrible
Continuing my marathon of this saga. In horror films I usually try to put myself in the characters and if they do something stupid I would understand that maybe I could do it too. But in this film the protagonists are just stupid. It's horrible to watch a movie like this. I don't know what message the film wanted to show at the end but I'm not even going to research it. Horrible film, with no quality whatsoever. Another film in this saga that I remember that had stupid protagonists was the third but at least as bad as that one was, at least it had Eli who acted well. Film Watched on September 14, 2023.
Children of the Corn: Revelation (2001)
Very bad
Continuing my marathon of this saga. This film was extremely difficult to find and where I found it it was only in the original language and some lines were out of sync. As incredible as it appears just like the fourth film, I remembered some moments in that film too, for example the unbearable old wheelchair user in the apartment, the woman screaming and him thinking it's something else, the children visiting the arcade. I'm tired of looking for logic and chronology in these films in this saga. I'm just going to judge whether it's good in isolation. And is? No! Film Watched on September 14, 2023.
Children of the Corn 666: Isaac's Return (1999)
Horrible
Continuing my marathon of this saga (almost giving up). It's incredible how this saga only gets worse. Everything I said in the fifth film applies to this one too. What horrible direction, nothing makes sense in his camera movements. I went to research the person who directed this film who also directed several famous series. How is this possible? Either this person has improved or the episodes he directed are the worst in these series. This sixth film is competing heavily against the fifth film to see which is the worst. The only thing I understood is that Isaac came back from the coma (which doesn't make sense) and the girl was looking for her mother, and out of nowhere a random guy reveals himself to be the villain and ends up with Isaac. Isaac's actor acted better as a child (although I researched how old he was in the first film of this saga and he was already over 20 years old). Film Watched on September 14, 2023.
Children of the Corn V: Fields of Terror (1998)
Horrible
Continuing the marathon of this saga. What a horrible film. Nothing works in this film. Performances that would make a door jealous (in fact, doors have more expressions than these actors and actresses). Script and direction that don't work and makes everything even more boring. If I'm not mistaken, the third and fourth films had no or almost no computer special effects, but here they unfortunately returned. This boy managed to be worse than Micah from the second film, a very bad actor. Horrible movie. Not memorable. Actors and actress this movie are horrible. Film Watched on September 14, 2023.
Children of the Corn: The Gathering (1996)
Nostalgic
Continuing my marathon of this saga. For some strange reason I remember watching this film and not the second and third films, I say strange because I didn't use/usually to watch films out of chronology. I remembered the nightmare at the beginning of the film, the sick children, the old woman being afraid to leave the mailbox line but being forced to leave, who were going to return with business from the barn. I believe that this film works on its own, you don't need to watch any of the previous ones to understand this one. I didn't remember that Naomi Watts was the protagonist and I didn't recognize the actor who played the musical series Glee. For some reason I prefer this film to the first one but I'm going to give it the same rating because I believe it doesn't deserve a 6. Film Watched on September 14, 2023.
Children of the Corn III: Urban Harvest (1995)
Bad
Obviously it was the first one I watched. For the first time in this saga I didn't recognize any actor or actress. Positive points: The performance of the boy who played Eli, I thought was really cool, very different from Micah from the second film and Isaac from the first film who are very serious; the choice for practical effects (more than 70% of them don't work) and not special computer effects. Negative points: everything else. I know that the story doesn't need to take place in the city that was mentioned in the first film and just having a cornfield would work but it's very strange if it takes place in another city. Except Eli's actor, what a terrifying performance. Script and direction don't help. I liked the death of the adoptive mother even though it was the only character I liked. The adoptive father got along well in the end, he managed to do business with the guys there. I'm on the third film and I'm already regretting having started this ten-film saga. Film Watched on September 14, 2923.
Children of the Corn II: The Final Sacrifice (1992)
Very bad
What do you mean there's no Isaac? I swore he was a recurring character in this saga. Obviously this is the first time I've watched this film. Before I start the negative reviews, I liked the scene doing voodoo on the guy in the church and when I saw the actress who plays Lacey I already remembered her as a child as the sister of the protagonist in the second Freddy Krueger film, which is sad because both films are bad however, at least in my memory, the second Freddy Krueger film seems like a work of art compared to this film. Horrible performances, perhaps the only character I cared about was Lacey as I had already seen the actress in another film. Messy direction and strange script, in the first film there are no adults in that city (the guy at the gas station was from another city, right?) and now there are several and one acting worse than the other. Maybe because I'm used to Isaac (even though I only watched the first film twice) I thought Micah's acting was so bad. I don't know if it showed how much time passed after the events of the first film. The special effects in the first film were already bad but if I'm not mistaken it was only used twice in the entire film, now in this second film every 2 minutes there was at least one special effect. The colorful visions of the cornfield, Micah getting shocked at the end and transforming into a strange being but he doesn't do anything. Out of nowhere it became a comedy, for example at the end of the elderly woman in wheelchairs knocking on the window of the old men playing bingo (obviously the old woman was replaced by a doll but that doesn't bother me since the first Freddy Krueger film has that and I love that one movie) and the old man looks at the old woman and shouts bingo as if nothing had happened. Film Watched on September 13, 2023.
