What a brilliant portrayal of the unspoken inequality that lies deep beneath our male vs female society.
I wasn't expecting such an insightful and provoking drama with more twists than Monaco.
The acting is superb, so much so that I ended up hating the male lead character as soon as the grovelling and false promising began and I called my partner to tell her if we ever cheat on each other, it's over!!
The female lead is an A-mazing actress as is her mum, the two totally believable.
A lot of reviewers seemed to miss the underlying theme, some even missing the significance of the ending...well if you gotta make a film, spell it out and they still don't get it???
This films message is extremely current in the movement that's happening and growing around the world; for too long large delicate male egos have sat at the top of the board table, the dinner table, the kitchen table and lorded it over their "subordinates", unable to accept criticism, using passive aggressive power tactics such as gaslighting, bullying, controlling dominance and dismissal in order to subdue the truth been spoken.
And that's coming from a man!
Sit up and take notice lads, the times they are a changing and if like a lot of the male reviewers here you missed the film's significance, watch again !
And if you still don't get it, well.... There's only so much a person can take 😊

I loved this film, it's beautiful, funny and entertaining.
A lot of the reviewers here missed the subtle humour but it had me tickled and had me interested most of the way through it.
Some reviewers also complained about it not being an action movie and wasting two hours watching it...why anyone would sit and watch something they're not enjoying for 2 hours is their own personal problem.
If you're a die hard Tom Cruise or Vin Diesel action type film fan then maybe this is not for you. It's a love story. With some action on top. All perfectly balanced.
It's female at the helm and behind the script. It's female in the staring roles...feminity runs through its veins and I'm a better man from watching it 😊
