This show did a good job of representing the crazy world of true crime podcasting- and the lengths some podcasters go to get noticed . Also the Crime Con scenes of people having "favorite murderers" and selling Ted Bundy bottle openers seemed pretty crazy- but spot in.
The show is well- written and acted, although all the fantasy killing scenes were distracting and unhelpful to move the story.
As a true crime podcast fan- I couldn't get past the suspicion that Kaley Cuoco was chiefly cast because of her strong resemblance to celebrity CJ podcaster "AF." In fact, when I saw previews for the show, I thought it was AF appearing in the show.
Fun show, if you can suspend your disbelief quite a bit.
