I saw this during a vacation in Dublin, at Stoneybatter festival, in the local community hall. It is the very essence of amateur-filmmaking. Ed Wood-esque, quirky, sometimes funny, bloated, crappy. If you ever saw an amateur film you can imagine, yet I dont want to s#it too much on it, because for sure it HAS HEART. It is obvious every participant gave all that they had to this production. I was sitting in the audience (app. 50 ppl.) among many of the cast, who are local kids and elderly. It was heart-warming when someone appeared on screen, some audience members pointed at them and even shouted his/her name. Even the "Green Grocer's" - a former shop, closed recenty - got its own cheer. Even some good, yet cheesy, jokes got in. Even if it is not a good watch, it is evident that it is, in its core a love-letter to the local community - plot mainly centered in the community center, duh! - and the residents of Stoneybatter. It was lovely to see this at the right place, at the right time - with the RIGHT people! Thank you Tracy Cummins and the organizers that I could be part of this once-in-a-lifetime experience, it really-really was the highlight of my staying in Dublin, will NEVER FORGET! Only my best wishes to all the locals I sat with, and wish you just the best in life, good health! And sending you all my love from Budapest, Hungary!
I am so disappointed people not appreciating this piece as it deserves.
Few movies nowdays (even thrillers) can make the magic to put you on the edge for the whole leght of it.
This does it.
The music is athmospheric, while the plot and acting is the rawest, it is rarely seen these days.
Slick, focused, raw, and devastating.
Acting is superb. I am mad at the academy.
This piece of ART shuld deserve more acknowledgement and respect.
Adam Sandler gave the performance of his life! (hopefully yet)
I was doubtful before watching this, but after... I am convinced (not for the first time: Punchdrunk love, Meyerowitz stoy) that Sandler does belong to the big league (occasionally).
Sorry to see it is not rated as at least a straight 9.
Pity.

Surprisingly funny and warm-hearted tale about a guy who basically steals 5 million dollars from pensioners and fakes a whole life for himself with it.
