The Rental (2020)
What happend?
The movie was great in the first part - drama, mystery, story etc. and it all leads up to uncertain outcome and keeps the viewer in suspense BUT then... movie switches to a completely different style and everything you saw up till this point becomes useless. Feels like somebody came in the middle of the production and just shut it down. They had to save the movie and made up this ending like in 10 minutes. Excellent beginning, pointless ending.
The Old Guard (2020)
Bad acting, bad action, cliche story.
I love action movies that have a fantasy/sci-fi twist. Like RIDDICK! It wasnt all that good but the action was solid, maincharacter was bad ass and the story was fine.
Bud this movies has all the cliches, non-emotional main characters, bad acting and action scenes that look like from B category movies with no budget.
On top oif everything wrong with this flick, they put a edgy pop music in action scenes - why? Sounds horrible, looks horrible, guns clearly have no weight to them, ufff... Huge dissapointment not worthy a 6.7.
Mr. Right (2015)
For who is this movie made?
It's too childish to watch for adults, but too violent for kids under 12. So who is the target audience? They try to be funny, they try to be ironic but it all feels already seen in bunch of other movies with much better execution. And the "bad guys" are straight out of 90's action movies with leather jackets. My god, everything is so stereotypical that it could only entertain younger audiences. Ones that never seen something like this before. I understand that you gotta do what you gotta do to keep afloat. Sam Rockwell is playing himself, again. If you have seen him in any movie, he plays the same guy here. Pure entertainment for your DVD player. But too dull for the big screen.
Condemned (2015)
The good kind of weird
The first part of the movie is pretty neat and weird. With it's own dark atmosphere which is great and entertaining, stands out in the crowd. But it goes south really fast. In the half way through the movie and the fun and eerie part becomes collage-grade-bad-special-effects slasher flick in the dorms. What a loss.
I don't understand where's the need to do the same thing that everyone in the horror film industry has already done before. If you don't have the budget stick to the story. If you have no story entertain with good effects. They had such a good beginning with pure weirdness that temps you to take a shower after watching this - and that is rare find these days.
Succubus: Hell-Bent (2007)
even more entertaining then Hollywood horror
OK this is a B movie, but it was much more entertaining than catacombs, turned that movie out after 20 min (girl running around in tunnel maze - boring - film from the makers of SAW), this movie had girls, party's, nudity, violence, blood, high speed action, mystery etc. let's just say it has a bit of everything.
well the ending was kind of dumb but 60% of movie endings suck.
If you are a horror movie fan this will be like a nice romantic movie >:) it's not bad - it's interesting.
I gave it a ten because with bigger budget and some changes in the script it would rock!
