Flightplan (2005)
A really good nail biting mystery drama!
I don't know what it is about this movie, because I didn't really know what I would think when I started watching it but I really liked it! The excitement was thrilling and the script was intelligent and well thought-out. The acting on most parts was excellent and directing was superb. The basic plot is, when a Mother and Daughter board an aeroplane the Mother falls asleep, when she wakes up her daughter is missing. When she tells the crew nobody can even remember seeing the little girl on the aeroplane. Sean Bean gives an amazing yet subtle performance as the Captian and he fits right into the role. Flightplan will have you thinking until you think your hair is burning. Amazing!
9/10.
The Village (2004)
Unfortunately, not that good.
Sorry to say I wasn't impressed by The Village. It was meant to scare you. However, it failed to scare me. It was extremely boring at times, and the lack of characterisation spoilt the roles. The acting was decent, but I wouldn't recommend this movie, to anyone. Very disappointing. But not terrible! Sometimes the movie could be interesting but ultimately didn't really have me scared or spooked or freaked out. The monster's looked almost comical at parts, with their big red capes and bony structure. This movie just give's people a reason to spoof it. Not terrible, just not great. If in need for a good horror and a thriller movie rent something a little more thought out and intelligent. Not terrible, just not great. 4/10.
The Attic (2007)
The script and the story was lazy and lousy and the acting was just pure horrible!
The basic plot for the story is that a teenage girl keep's seeing a different girl who looks exactly like her in the mirror, she goes crazy and everyone think's she's lieing. That is the most unoriginal story I have ever heard. Okay, I'll be fair, it's not the worst movie ever, but..the writing was so lousy and lazy it was unbelievable. The acting was just terrible and Elizabeth Moss looked just stupid she was so bad. If you want to see a good horror movie, don't watch this. This movie disappointed me so much. The shame is, is that, yeah, the story is unoriginal and plain but, if the writers had developed more on the story and planned a little bit more then maybe I would of given the movie a 4 or 5 out of 10. If the writers had planned the characters and really thought out the movie rather than just writing down whatever popped into there head, the movie might of worked a little bit more than it did.
I'm rating this two, as the camera work and direction was, err..okay, for the budget they were on ($7000).
PS - About half an hour into the movie, her older brother who has the mind of a child, mentions that his sister keeps a diary. Now, this is when you start thinking, hmm...maybe the story and the characters will unfold within this diary and think it's going to get a bit more interesting, but the diary is never mentioned or shown again in the whole movie!!! Also, As for the scene were the girl makes a move on her own father just puzzled me! In fact, the only thing that actually unfolds the characters throughout the movie is the fact her mother and father turn out to be raging lunatics who use witchcraft.
Bad, Very bad movie! 2/10.
The Others (2001)
Terrifying!
The film is absolutely terrifying! It shocks and stuns you with all the twists and turns. Nicole Kidman gives an amazing performance as Grace and not to mention the two children, they were just superb.
The Other's setting and scenery even spooked you out and the script really made you think. Is this really happening? Or is this women simply mad? Is the little girl seeing things or is she just trying to get attention? By far, the 'little girl wedding dress' scene is absolutely the most chilling scene in the whole film. You will be terrified and your mind will be going crazy, you will love this movie is you like movie's witch play you around a little bit.
Watch this to be scared! 9/10 stars.
Hide and Seek (2005)
The horror film of 2005!
This film is the best horror film of 2005, by far! It was enjoyable from beginning to end, and really made you think. The performance's of the actors were literally spectacular, especially 11 year old Dakota Fanning who plays the creepy Emily.
The film has you thinking from beginning to end and the way everything come's together at the end is literally mesmerising! The directing is superb for the type of film and the script is amazing! I truly recommend this movie to everyone in need of a good physcological thriller!
Love this movie! 10/10! 5/5 *****/***** **********/**********
I Know Who Killed Me (2007)
I Know Who Killed Me was great...until I saw it!!!
I Know Who Killed Me centres on a young girl named Aubrey Fleming, who is a bright and aspiring writer. When the small town she lives in is shocked to hear she had been abducted it is within their and the police's duty to find the young teen, played by Hollywood party girl Lindsay Lohan. We then see where Aubrey is. She is being tortured and her fingers and limbs are being cut off. When Aubrey manages to escape from the physcopath who has been hurting her, she collapses and wakes up in the hospital. To the surprise of the police, family and her friends and doctors she insists that she is not Aubrey Fleming and that she is a young sassy stripper named Dakota Moss. The film is then filled with so-called "scary" scenes and lines which are meant to make you think.
Sorry to say that I Know Who Killed Me is a complete mess. It is beyond belief the shabbiness and how pathetic the script is. The scenes don't connect and the story is almost comical. I think the people who made this film were more interested in the trendy blue & red screens which distracts the viewer continuously throughout the film. Lohan has always been a good actress, but this let's her resume down! She was disappointing. And yes, I am aware that she was in and out of rehab at the time and she was "mentally challenged" at the time of shooting this movie (late 2007, mid 2007 release) but Lindsay was also "mentally challenged" at the time of shooting the comedy Georgia Rule starring Jane Fonda (which was released just a little while before this mess) and Georgia Rule wasn't her best work either. The shock to think that people call this a physcological thriller or a horror. Watching Power Rangers is scarier than this garbage. Sorry, Lindsay.

Juno (2007)
Juno reaches perfection, and keeps going.
Juno, written by stripper turned writer Diablo Cody is the story of a 16 year old girl, Juno, played by teen actress Ellen Page, who falls pregnant with her best friend Paulie Bleeker, played by teen actor Michael Cera.
Juno decides to have a quick abortion, but when it comes down to it, she can't bring herself to doing it. With the help of her female best friend Leah, played by teen actress Olivia Thirlby, looks for advertisements for parents in the local newspaper.
When Juno and Leah have been looking for a while, they see a photo and advertisement for a couple called Mark & Vannesa Loring, played by child star turned adult director Jason Bateman and Electra star Jennifer Garner, who have been looking to adopt and failed attempts for pregnancy.
When Juno decides she wishes to give the baby to this couple she decides to go to their home to meet them, with her father by her side, Mac, played by J.K Simmons.
Mark & Vannessa have a friendly and cosy home, with parts looking ultra modern. They live in a gorgeous neighbourhood, a surprise to Juno, who comes from a poor home with small homes.
Juno is convinced she is doing the right thing by allowing these people to adopt her unborn child.
Meanwhile, the story is showing how she is adapting to being pregnant with school life and how it has changed her life.
This up-beat, quirky comedy drama is one of the year's best with outstanding performances by Ellen Page, not forgetting Allison Janney who plays her interfering step-mother. The movie won the Best Original Screeplay Oscar, a medal well deserved.
The script is quick witted and is the best teen movie yet. Reason being, it's not patronising to younger people, it speaks the truth. Juno is sweet and kind with a bitchy layer, maybe hard to believe by the description but the opposite to Tina Fey's Mean Girls.
This teen movie has more weight than most, breaks all stereotypes. Teen movies are traditionally about the popular kid in school finding love or going to parties. Juno is enjoyable, funny with plenty of parts young people like Juno will be able to relate to. With the lines Juno says "Im in a fat suit I can't take off!".
Juno is a feel good movie which is a must see! The best movie, in my eyes, of 2007. And definitely the best ever teen movie!
May seem like I'm overreacting but one of the best movie's ever!
Juno Written by Diablo Cody 10/10
Spacehopper (2007)
Almost to bad for words...
Why are BBC Three lowering there standards with this rubbish? They already have Tittybangbang! Spacehopper (Pilot episode) now Scallywagga' is a sketch show comedy based on the lives of teenager, first kiss's, getting high, getting drunk and much more, with two well known famous faces in there. Sally Lindsay (Coronation Street) & Marc Wotton (Two Pints', Marc Wotton exposed), however, this does not make up for the unoriginality and the un-funny sketch's.
There are the funny plots in the sketch's but no jokes, or punchlines! Such as the Chillimondo sketch, about a bunch of people shouting "CHILLIMONDO!". Where's the joke? ...You wait, and wait.
...And, there isn't one.
Unfunny, unoriginal, utter, Rubish!
Headcases (2008)
Simply Brilliant!
This programme is one of the funniest animation programmes ever to hit British telly. The Posh & Becks, Heather Mills as the angry advice columnist and Dame Judi Dench & Dame Helen Mirren & Kate Winslet are by far the best. The show is cleverly written and superbly animated. Better than that ''Rock Rivals'' rubbish they are showing at the moment! It's funny, brilliant and clever everything you can hope for in a programme. ITV need this programme after the baby swap storyline on ''Coronation Street'' dragged on so much they started to loose viewers. Same for Rock Rivals, looses viewers.
Headcases, simply great!
Hot Fuzz (2007)
Literally, brilliant!
Hot Fuzz tells the story of NICK, a middle aged metropolitan police officer who is used to crime around every corner and regular murders, stabbings, beatings, robbery's and assaults.
When Nick is transfered to a small countryside village named SANFORD, he finds it very boring as there is no crime at all, although deep down, he was not convinced.
He realises that the police officers there do not ever do any work and just eat cake and tell jokes.
He finds a growing closeness to a fellow officer, DANNY, a slightly younger man but is a terrible police officer and never looks closely enough to find crime. When the pair are inseparable Nick tries to find out just what is causing his suspicious feeling about SANFORD and attempts to teach DANNY just how to be a good cop.
Absaloutly hysterical and a real fantastic movie to make you giggle and other times is side split tingly funny.
Simon Pegg & Nick Frost once again give a great double-act comedy performance and the movie has a fantastic script.
10/10!
Big Momma's House (2000)
One of the funniest undercover comedies ever!
A few years ago I bought Big Momma's House on VHS at laughed all the way through! This movie is as close to perfection as a comedy can be, it can bring out your silly side, your emotional side and your serious side.
Big Mommas House tell's the story of two cops who get put on a case to find a murder, in order to catch him they have to also make his ex-girlfriend confess to hiding evidence to the police although when they find out she wants to stay with her long lost grandmother, they have to go undercover on the grandmother who likes to call herself 'Big Momma'.
Martin Lawrence (Bad Boys) gives a genius performance as Malcom who goes undercover as Big Momma and has excellent comic timing, Nia Long (Stigmata) plays Sherry, the ex-girlfriend of a criminal on the run to find her and his son. She also gives a great performance and for a child actor Jascha Washington gives a great performance.
Excellent script, Excellent cast and Excellent story...
Great all round!
iCarly (2007)
Brilliant!
Even though I'm a fan of good ol' 90's Nick i love things like iCarly and Drake & Josk and Zoey 101.
iCarly tells the story of three friends who create there own website were they have a live show every week and people can view.
It's a great thing for kids to loose there imagination in and is very funny. The jokes are actually funny and not patronising to children, and i think that is a refreshing change.
I love the episode called 'iNevel'. The kid that plays Nevel is very funny.
Miranda Cosgrove gives another fantastic performance and has excellent comic timing.
I also love the recurring characters! Very Funny!
About a Boy (2002)
One of the best British comedy's ever!
About a Boy tells the story the story of Will (Hugh Grant), and almost middle aged man that feels the need to start a relationship with a single mother. When he see's a advertisement for a local single parents group and goes to see if he can get lucky. Two problems though, he is not a parent and has never had a long lasting relationship. He has never worked and live's of the royalties of the successful song his father wrote.
When he goes to this group who like to call themselves S.P.A.T (Single Parents Alone Together), claiming to have a two year on son named Ned, he is the only man but is intrigued by the group leader, a very beautiful single mother. When she invites him for a picnic with her and her daughter Will feels like this maybe a first step into a relationship. As they were leaving for the picnic she introduces Marcus (Nicholas Hoult) and son of a suicidal friend of hers (Toni Collete). Neither him or his mum eat meat and have no sense of style. He is bullied constantly at school and has no friends. When the two meet they have a awkward relationship, one being a grown man and own being an eleven year old boy, but Will is afraid of responsibility.
As the story progresses he meets Rachel (Rachel Weiz) and convinces her that Marucs is his son so she will go out with him.
The story shows the funny and dramatic side of friendship.
Hugh Grant delivers and outstandingly funny performance and for a child actor, Nicholas Hoult could do no wrong.
Truly proves that Britain are amazing filmmakers!
Be Kind Rewind (2008)
Shockingly Terrible
Me and my friend went to the movie's, too see the new Michel Gondry movie. I am a huge fan on Jack Black and love him in School of Rock, however this was not his best work.
Me and my friend had heard the movie was very average but however i was sure i would like it.
I was shocked and stunned at what i saw, the point of the movie started around 35 minutes into the movie, it was unfunny, bad script, bad acting on some parts (not Jack Black, Mos Def or Mia Farrow) the point of the movie was overlooked and people were getting restless.
People began leaving the movie after 40 minutes or so and at the hour mark I done the same.
After being shockingly disappointed, i proceeded to ask for my money back after i paid £5 for the ticket, the wouldn't let me have it back.
The film was shocking and I wouldn't advise anyone to go and see it.
The promos, FALSE ADVERTISING! Just Plain Bad!
Film is terrible!
Rock Rivals (2008)
Painfully Bad.
After all the advertising campaign against this and the trailers looked very decent, and i was always familiar with Michelle Collins work, i sat down to watch this and was so very disappointed.
Its so painfully bad.
And, im not so sure why people are saying Michelle Collins is great in this, i am a huge fan and i can admit it's not her best work.
The Storyline is unrealistic The girl that plays the role on Bethany is a terrible actress It without a doubt unnecessarily exaggerates everything and isn't funny at all.
The new ITV1 Drama, The Fixer wasn't advertised as well as Rock Rivals and gets more viewers now because of how bad Rock Rivals is.
The Fixer is beating it in viewers and if there not careful soon The Bionic Woman will take over there viewers (and thats on a digital channel), because The Bionic Woman is fantastic!
Please ITV, cut Rock Rivals before your viewing get under 2m.
Im thinking of you, and the public.
Rock Rivals rating,

Skins (2007)
I love it!!!
In 2007, i sat down to watch the first series of ''Skins'' not really knowing what to think before it started but as it did i found myself getting more involved in the characters lives and was able to place myself into there situations. Absaloutly superb acting by all of the cast, young and older, Fantastic script, Outstanding communication with the young public and faces the real life problems young people face these days. About a Boy's Nicholas Hoult is amazing, i was blown away with his performance as Tony, a moody teenager that has two sides to him, spiteful and sweet, Mike Bailey also gives a great performance as his shy character Sid Jenkins who is slowly evolving into more of a confident character because of Cassie (his girlfriend) played by Hannah Murray who in my eyes gives one of the strongest female performance's in Channel 4 history, she gives her character an unusual, almost spooky gift about her. Kind of' creeps you out a little but you can tell she is sweet in heart. One of the strongest male performances in the show is played by Dev Patel , who in the show is Anwar, the desperate for a girlfriend Asian teenager who is best friends with the gay character Maxxie, played by Mitch Hewer, who in my opinion gives one of the best male performances in TV history, outstanding! I was blown away by his performance in the stalker storyline with Sketch, who also gives a brilliant performance.
All together Skins is a amazing show and i advise people of all ages to watch! Other main characters include Michelle, Jal, Chris.

Nethertheless, Tracy goes on with the plan, the next morning, accompined by Penny, Tracy arrives at the studio to audition.
Velma Von' Tussle and Tracy did not get along. Velma made fun of Tracy's flaws, her size, her belifes about racism. Tracy believes that black kids deserve to dance on TV just as much as white kids. But as this is 1962 TV has Negro Day once a month. The audition didn't go well.

Fantastic Film, Very Enjoyable!

Bridge to Terabithia (2007)
Brilliant
I really enjoyed this movie. It's a story about imagination, confidence, coming of age and friendship.
Jesse Aarons is the unpopular kid at school with no friends. One day a new student named Leslie Burke starts the school. She competes in the ''boys only'' race and wins. Leslie and him are both outsiders at school and Jesse is an outsider in his family. Leslie's parents are writers. After finding out that there both neighbours they instantly hit it off. Creating a magical kingdom named ''Terabithia''. I wont write spoilers. But this movie really moved me.
Main Cast:
Josh Hucherson as Jesse Aarons AnnaSophia Robb as Leslie Burke Zooey Deschanel as Ms.Edmonds Bailee Madison as May Belle Aarons Robert Patrick as Jesse Aarons Sr. Kate Butler as Mary Aarons Devon Wood as Brenda Aarons Emma Fenton as Ellie Aarons Lauren Clinton as Janice Avery Cameron Wakefield as Scott Hoager
