This movie is cheesy in the best way possible, it's funny and goofy and cute. I don't know why it's so badly rated are people expecting some marvel blockbuster with a massive budget.
It's a cute Christmas movie, the script is funny the cast are great it's enjoyable, and has a couple of "Mean Girls" references throughout. And a "Pretty Woman" one too that I noticed. Which was very nostalgic.
It's exactly what I want from a Christmas rom-com, if you're looking for that too, then you'll like this, really give it a chance. If you want the blockbuster, then go watch Die Hard 2 or something. (nothing against die hard)

I don't know why there are so many negative reviews.
This has an "early AHS" vibe with the story and the gore. It's hard not to compare it, it reminds me of the season Hotel in a lot of ways.
I would definitely consider it to be scarier than the last 2 or 3 seasons of American Horror Story. If Ryan Murphy made this as a season of AHS instead of Delicate or NYC, it would feel like AHS is back on track.
Niecy Nash is great in her role she's a crazy badass that runs towards danger and shows no fear. However the character isn't likeable, but I don't think any of the characters are. I think thats what makes it really good.
I can't wait for the next few episodes.
