The Gentlemen is my favorite Ritchie movie, which I've watched a few times now. It's smart, entertaining, well written and excellently cast. It's great to see his expansion into a Paramount series!
Knowing Ritchie was behind Mobland was enough reason for me to watch. Plus, Tom Hardy is in my list of top five most loved male actors. I watch everything I can that's Hardy!
Mobland certainly didn't disappoint! At times, I had difficulty understanding the thick Celtic or English dialects, but rewinding it with the volume turned higher allowed me to fully understand what was being said. I loved it all the same! And The tidbits of humor were a perfect touch.
I certainly look forward to a second season.
I highly recommend Mobland!!!

Halfway through season 1, I felt compelled to review. The bad wigs were too much for me! Lol And I must say that I'm puzzled by the overall 7.6 rating. But, I suppose it's not intended for my age group.
4th episode into season 2, I found myself getting angry at the stupidity of the storyline and quickly realized WHO Netflix is catering to with this series! It's the type of college kids who protest and bash American ways by rooting for terrorist entities! One of the main characters has NO PLACE in the story, but is now calling the shots.
Although it's refreshing to see a production cast with mostly unknown actors, the series in general is kinda B rated. I very much like Gabriel Basso & Amanda Warren though.
Then there's the audio editing. When an echo (caused by voiceovers recorded in a small room) can be heard as two individuals are walking in the wide outdoors on an open campus, somebody sorely failed.
I simply cannot continue watching.

The best I've seen from Apple yet! This is quality programming, on the same high level of what HBO was once known for.
It's a smart, well cast, superbly written, highly entertaining series. There was just enough surprises to keep me guessing. I couldn't get enough of it and watched the entire season in one day.
Although I'm hard pressed to imagine what additional twists and turns Coop could venture on, I look forward to another season!
Hamm is perfect as Coop. I've been hoping to see him again, as I loved him in Mad Men. Well-played, selective choice on his behalf in accepting this role.
BRAVO!
