Ao Haru Ride (2023)
Nostalgic
Ao Haru Ride live action is a sweet and nostalgic take on the classic high school romance. The film follows Futaba, a girl trying to change her image in high school, and her reunion with Kou, a boy she once liked but who's now more distant and mysterious. The actors do a great job capturing the innocence and emotional tension of first love, with plenty of awkward yet heartwarming moments. While it doesn't dive as deeply into the characters as the manga or anime, it still manages to deliver a touching and relatable story about friendship, love, and personal growth. The soft cinematography adds to the romantic, youthful vibe, making it a pleasant watch for fans of the genre.
The Architecture of Love (2024)
Light to watch
The way New York would have been portrayed, with all its details and atmosphere, would feel like more than just a backdrop-it would be part of the emotional landscape of the story. You'd see the city through the main character's eyes, and it would likely mirror her inner journey of dealing with love, loss, and self-discovery.
The mix of romance and introspection would probably leave me feeling a bit melancholic but hopeful. I imagine there would be moments in the film that make you pause and reflect on your own experiences-especially how a place can hold so many memories and emotions. It would be one of those films where you finish watching and just sit there, thinking about how everything-love, life, heartbreak-connects, and how a city like New York can feel both lonely and full of possibilities at the same time.
Pasutri Gaje (2024)
not expecting too much
I justt finished this movie aka pasutri Gaje and it's a mixed bag. The good part? The cast has great comedic timing and there are definitely some funny scenes that hit the right notes. The chemistry between the leads is also pretty engaging. On the flip side, the story can be a bit predictable and some jokes feel recycled. The pacing gets a bit slow at times, which might test your patience. So yeah, it's a decent watch for some laughs, but don't expect a masterpiece.
The pacing drags a bit in the middle, which can be a snooze fest. Overall, it's a fun watch if you're not looking for anything too deep or groundbreaking:D.
Knights of the Zodiac (2023)
I WATCH THIS MOVIE FOR MACKENYU
So, "Knights of the Zodiac" is like a reboot of the classic anime "Saint Seiya" that you might have heard of. The story still revolves around warriors with cool armor fighting to protect the goddess Athena. The plot is pretty epic with intense battles, drama, and lots of twists.
The visuals are pretty decent and upgraded from the old version. The characters remain iconic, like Pegasus Seiya and his crew. However, some people feel that the vibe isn't quite the same as the original, maybe due to changes in style or other reasons.
Overall, if you're into action anime with a mythological theme, it's still worth watching. Don't expect too much nostalgia, though, but if you haven't seen the old version, this could be a good entry point. But i love that mackenyu as seiya.
