First off, this is an Indie Film, so if you are expecting Saving Private Ryan then this isn't the film for you. BUT... This is a great WWII indie film that features a perspective not very often seen. The Canadian armed forces in Holland, facing off against Nazi Germany.
I have to give huge props to the team that pulled off this film. Not only is this a period film, but it's a period war film, and not only that,d it's a period war film that takes place in a foreign country. So to everyone involved well done!
That being said, I do feel that some of the acting was a bit rough at times, but overall a fun Indie War film told from the Canadian perspective, which is one I am unfamiliar with as an American.

Unlike anything I've seen! Powertool Cheerleaders vs the Boyband Zombies is a film that knows what it is and delivers. Breaking the fourth wall, middle aged women dressing like teenage cheerleaders, breaking into song, death lighting cues, zombies, a credit roll BTS song, and of course a severed hand straight outta Adams Family! It doesn't take itself seriously and that is the best thing for a film like this.
The film takes big swings stylistically and due to its comedic nature certain forgivable allowances are given to its production quality and the effects. That being said the musical numbers are a fun escape from the dark humor that is the film.
Grab a beer, pop the corn, turn out the lights and enjoy!

Scooter LaForge: A Life of Art is a fascinating look into the mind of an artist. Whether you've heard of Scooter LaForge or not, this film will give you incredible insights into the background of what makes a unique artist. From the struggles of COVID-19 as an artist to dealing with coming out as a child there are thousands of factors that contribute to Scooters unique style. To be honest I had never heard of Scooter LaForge before, and even though I am a creative myself we come from VERY different lifestyles. So it was illuminating to see how a fellow creative can take such a different life path.
The 2D animations on top of the footage was a wonderful touch that made simple footage far more engaging. Kudos to director Ethan Minsker for documenting such a unique personality and making it available to the masses. I found the film engaging from the begging as it introduced us to art before the artist. And slowly unfolded the struggles and challenges that made the artist!
