I love horror/thriller movies which takes place on a highway/motorway or deserted roads.
Found this movie to b a bit long but i enjoyed it.
The story of this movie takes place on a motorway n that too on a rainy night which is kinda good for me.
I liked the twist they showed in the old couple's house.
Lots of cliches, too many horror movies' tropes, too many wtf moments, too many "watch ur back man", "hide man", "I will come back for u", etc.
The hiding in the toilet, the cops not believing ur story, character tied in the back seat of a cop's car, the psycho truck driver, old couple living alone in an isolated house, etc.
Haute Tension which borrowed from Dean Koontz's Intensity, Joyride, Duel, Hitcher, Breakdown, The Vanishing aka Spoorloos, Intensity, Vacancy, etc comes to mind.

Anybody in a relationship knows that no matter wot, no two ex females shud cross path or meet.
I got pulled into seeing this after reading a glowing review by Coventry.
Liz's new boyfriend was from the police IT department, why wasn't he interrogated?
He was completely outta the whole documentary.
Was Liz that stupid to orchestrate her leg shooting without realising that Dave's ex wife Amy might have a solid alibi.
Was Liz that stupid to continue sending emails to herself using Amy's name. In Cari's case, she was missing so she cudnt come forward n claim that I am not sending any emails or texts but in Amy's case she was present to give her statement. Why wud a person who is present will send threatening emails directly linking herself?
Was Liz that stupid to take the bait of the officers to describe the details of Cari's murder and that too again using Amy's name?
In Cari's case she was missing but Amy was present n why wud a person Amy confess via email n that to a supposed enemy Liz?

Got pulled into this cos of Whannell.
Big fan of Leigh Whannell the writer not the director. Not seen The Invisible Man directed by him but this movie which is supposed to be the reboot of The Wolf Man franchise is bland, lacking the scare, lacking the tension n lacking the wolf gore.
The movie is very well shot, nothing is in utter darkness, one can make out what is going on, no shaky cam or flickering lights but somehow this doesn't belong in the classic monster movie. The 2010 version starring Anthony Hopkins is amazing n the best is the 1941 classic.
Even the Universal's 2012 film Werewolf: The Beast Among Us is a good werewolf action movie.
This one ain't bad, it is jus a mild family drama with a sprinkle of werewolf twist.
The good part is they succeeded in showing the horrors or depression a family goes thru when one of em is suffering.
