A wonderful film.
The acting is top notch. This movie shows that there are wonderful Mexican actors and that we CAN write a good script, so I will not be forgiving any sub par job in the future.
The movie is gorgeous. Everything is done with love and care. My only (very small) complaint would be some of the CGI. But it doesn't take away from the wonderful story-telling and the visuals.
If paying attention is not your forte, maybe the movie is not for you. By the way, the movie is magical realism, that means it combines fantastical elements with day-to-day life. The reviews that say "it does not make sense", do they also complain about other genres? Does Avengers make sense? Star Wars?
Every character has a story to tell. It's not about villains and heroes. There's no divine retribution.
En verdad me hizo pensar que los mexicanos ya estamos muertos, solo estamos esperando a que alguien nos lo diga.

I had written a very long explanation of why Disclaimer is among the worse things I've ever seen. It disappeared into the ether. Let's see if this one stays.
It is not good. After watching all 7 episodes I can confirm. It is BAD.
When actors so good look bad on screen you know somebody else is at fault, and considering that Cuarón both directed and wrote the series, well, I'm blaming him.
The series is boring, dreadfully so. It is 3 episodes too long and it reaches a point where you honestly just don't care anymore about any possible plot twists.
The series decided to go on the complete opposite direction of show, don't tell. They tell you EVERYTHING, even when you don't want them to. The narration is overused and unnecessary. It brings nothing to the table and it gets to be irritating.
The tone of the series is undecided, but the overall emotion is "overly dramatic so it feels cartoon-ish".
The main problem is that the plot is unbelievable. The characters spend 5 episodes trying to convince you of something outlandish and present their actions as reasonable, when it is impossible to take them as such. That's why they have to "tell" so much.
Save yourself from 7 excruciating hours. The only reason to watch it is if you are into soft orn, in which case only watch untill episode 4.
