I'll admit, I wasn't sure about this at first-medical comedies can be a bit hit or miss-but this one is an absolute riot. It's so gloriously chaotic that I couldn't stop laughing. From the utterly ridiculous diagnoses to Oliver flapping about like a headless chicken over the
smallest things, the whole thing is mad as a hatter-and it's all the better for it.
Damian Young as Dr. Norstrom is, without question, the star of the show. His dry wit and perfectly delivered sarcasm make every scene he's in an absolute treat. Whether he's brushing off Oliver's latest hypochondriac meltdown or navigating the sheer lunacy around him with that calm, knowing smirk, he's just brilliant. Honestly, I could watch an entire film of just him dishing out snarky comebacks.
Then there's Oliver, bless him, who's a complete disaster but somehow manages to charm you with his frantic energy and over-the-top reactions. He's the perfect foil for the dry humour of Norstrom and the other characters. The best part is that the film doesn't take itself seriously-not for a second. Even the most ludicrous moments feel completely at home in this wonderfully absurd world.
If you're a fan of comedies that are unapologetically off-the-wall, this one's well worth a watch. It's quirky, ridiculous, and full of personality. I wasn't expecting much, to be honest, but it completely won me over. Absolutely cracking stuff.
