The Fast and the Furious (2001)
A perfect 10...
I just saw it for the thousand time, and it's still as good as the first time I saw it. Rob Cohen is a pure genius, he truly is. These movies are magnificently awesome and I'm going to tell you why. No Spoiler alerts I promise.
Let's start with the basics. The script and plot is close to perfection. Everything from Action, comedic feuds, deceit, romance and amazing surprises. It has a little of everything and a lot of the rest.
The characters' difference is brilliant. The background of them is hidden beneath the surface of someone completely different. They're just amazingly entertaining. They're personalities is even better. I can't say anything else because I'm out of words; speechless.
The action scenes are incredible for a movie like this. I won't say to much about them though, but if you haven't seen it yet, do so. The first scene when you see how good Brian drives is good and when you see the spark he has, and how his driving improves throughout the movie; nice, very nice.
The turning point is pretty good too, but you'll have to find it yourself because I am not going to spoil your movie-experience. The twists in the movie are good, and there is more than one as well. Everyone has secrets, and the secrets are what make this movie just as good as it is. Without the secrets the movie wouldn't be worth watching.
OK, let's talk about the acting. First, Mark Vincent (or as you may know; Vin Diesel), I'm a big fan for a reason. There's never anything to say on his acting, so I won't even get into how amazingly amazing he is. So, the rest of them, I am a little iffy on their names so I am just going to call them by their character names. Brian, or the guy who played his role in the movie did a great job and so did Mia and Vince. There wasn't any bad acting in the movie, only good acting and some awesome acting.
The mix of secrecy, trust and romance is pretty damn good. I'm running out of adjectives. So I'll just try and wrap this up and give you my concluding opinion and rating of this movie.
This movie is definitely worth watching. I really and truly recommend you to watch this movie and its following movies. They are worth watching, ask anyone who've seen them they'll tell you the same. Personally I think it's great and awesome and so does my pal here who watched it with me an hour or so ago. For my rating, based on everything I wrote and didn't write, I give it 10 out of 10 stars. Why? I couldn't find anything negative about it and since I still enjoy watching after all these times I've already seen it it's probably worthy of a perfect 10.

Liar Liar (1997)
Lies, Lies........no lies anywhere!
This movie is brilliant! Simply brilliant! It is so hilarious, and so funny, words can not begin to describe it. Even though I know it to be impossible I will give it a shot.
The story is simply magnificent! It is like a story from a children's storybook, a book of old fairy tales. It's so amazingly brilliant and clever, I am actually out of words. No kidding! The story is so touching. It's the story of the love between father and son, mixed with jealousy, scumbags, Jim Carrey and the truth.
It is a masterpiece of a movie! I have seen it several times before and still I did not mind watching it again. Actually, it was as if I had never seen it before. The acting in this movie is no less than the one of a master. Jim Carrey is a true legend. He is one of the funniest persons in the history of funny persons. He is one of the best comedians this world has ever seen. His humor is like no other. His acting indescribably unique and utter genius. He is beyond comparison! His brilliancy is also previewed in other movies, such as, "Ace Ventura: The Pet Detective", "Bruce Almighty", "A series of unfortunate events", "Yes man". And around the Christmas holidays, we think of "A Christmas Carol" and "The Grinch" of course. Timeless classics! Last time I checked Mr. Carrey was the 69th highest ranked actor in the world according to www.IMDb.com. I am not surprised by this, but I am surprised he is not ranked higher. He is nothing short of a genius! He is one of my favorite actors. Along with Jackie Chan, Mark Vincent (AKA Vin Diesel), Will Smith, Mike Myers, Eddie Murphy, Owen Wilson, Leo DiCaprio, Johnny Depp (definitely) and many more. Anywho, my point is this. "Liar, Liar" is a great movie and I couldn't find a single negative thing to say about it, therefore, I give it 10/10 stars. 100%. Yup, that is correct. That is my opinion and I am sticking to it.
Bon Soir. Guten Nacth. Buenos Noches. Goodnight. God natt.

I Now Pronounce You Chuck & Larry (2007)
Wedding Balls...
The movie was hilariously hilarious. There was a big smile on my face during 98% of the movie, give or take a couple of percent. And I laughed more than I usually do, even when I watch comedies. I didn't think it would be any good, but Kevin James and Mr. Sandler really pulled trough. After seeing this movie I would say that they are the perfect "couple". All their comments and outbursts and their body language were brilliant, and to top it off, Ving Rhames kicked ass, he seriously kicked ass! Even though both Kevin James and Adam Sandler's acting were amazingly good (I've actually never seen either one of them act better than they did in this movie) I would have to say that Ving Rhames was my favorite in this movie, (You know, alongside the butterfly and the Japanese priest).
The storyline was great, it was filled with things you couldn't see coming, not in a million years. The happy-sad curve went up and down perfectly. The sound was nearly impeccable, as was the lighting, the shooting, places where they shot it was more than just fitting and the acting really was impeccable, or as close to it as you can get at least. There was some fails or goofs if you will, but there always are, so. I noticed 3 of them, there are probably some more, but you can't get'em all. For those of you new to this expression, the most common fails are: forgetting to take of your jacket before you go "on stage", misplacement of items on set during takes (or shoots if you will) or the all so popular; mouth not following the audio.
So, I conclude with this: the movie was brilliantly awesome and hilarious it will definitely make you laugh. It had the perfect music to go with the different scenes. The start was really good, the build up was as well, the mid-part was awesome and the finish was perfect. No better way to end a movie than with a gay marriage and a calendar like that one.
My rating of "I now pronounce you Chuck and Larry" is therefore: 9 out of 10 stars.
This is one movie I definitely recommend you buy, watch, watch again and tell your friends about. Enjoy the movie!

How the Grinch Stole Christmas (2000)
Jim Carrey, Dr. Seuss and a dog...
This movie really reveals the meaning of Christmas by revealing what It is not about, which is materialism or gifts.
By grabbing hold of and finding the strength of the very merry, holly and jolly Christmas, he saves everyone's Christmas instead of stealing or ruining it. They make his Christmas the best one so far, and he makes the Christmas their best ever. By watching this with my grandfather, it really brought out the Christmas spirit in me. It really, truly did. It made my Christmas.
The music in this movie brought it up, if just a little. It was nice, it was indeed.
I am giving it 6 or 7 stars out of a possible 10. I think I will give it 7, because it made my Christmas a bit better.
Bon soir. Goodnight. Guten nacht. God natt. Buenos Noches.

Hot Fuzz (2007)
Not so Hot fuzz...
This movie was, well, I'll enlighten you with that now, won't I? Let us get cracking.
So, the acting was more than satisfying. So, that is good. The script was not the best, to put it that way. The choreography was not realistic at all. Actually, it was god awful! If I were to sit here and list up all the crappy things about this movie, I wouldn't get to bed until next week! So, I will stop right here.
Although this movie sucked donkey a**, it did have some good moments as well, few, but still. My motto is "there is something good and something bad about all things and every single human being on this planet." So, to the good stuff.
As I said, the acting was not perfect, spectacular or great, but it was more than good enough. There were moments where my smile came out from hiding and some chuckling appeared. There was plenty of shooting, killing, mania, nice driving and violence. Except from the good things I have mentioned and the very nice environment, this film basically consisted of shooting, driving, arresting, insanity, violence, not to mention lots and lots of boring moments and entire scenes filled with boredom! Alright, I think I have made my point, but you can never be to certain, so, here we go again. This movie was awful, crappy and indescribably full of s***! Just see at the things I have already mentioned and if you see or have just seen the movie, think about it, think about it and you will see, it will appear in your head thoughts of how incredibly sh***y this movie actually is.
My final point before I wrap this up is formed as a question: "What is the moral of this movie?" oh, and if you want the answer I will give it to you right here, right now. The answer is: There is no moral! This movie is simply a film packed with unreal action, bad scenery, crappy script or plot if you will, without any meaning or point or moral at all! It is crap, nothing else, just crap! Even though it is crap, it still had some good points, not enough to get a good rating, obviously, but it gets not one, but two or three stars. You know, out of ten. I think I will go with three this time, because I liked the ending. I have seen it more than one time before, but I will not see it again, not if I can help it.
Just to be clear this movie, "Hot Fuzz", starring Simon Pegg (from Shaun of the dead) did not really deserve 3 stars, but because of its good final scene, gets 3/10 stars from me, Shevy.
This was your always trustworthy, honest and reliable writer, J.J. Shevy. And I say goodnight and sleep tight to all of you and I thank you for reading my review of "Hot Fuzz".
Peace & Love God Bless THE END
Hoodwinked! (2005)
This was off the hood!!!
I like that they left the ending open, while at the same time shutting the door completely on the movie. I am waiting in excitement. Hoping that there will be a sequel, I am pretty sure there will be. I mean the movie was a hit, wasn't it? I can't think of a reason not to make a sequel to this over the top, action filled box of animated goodies topped with a big load of sweet surprises and unexpected pleasures. Personally I can't wait for a sequel to come out. I have already thought of how it could be and started writing the script. As God and you as my witness there will be a sequel to the movie «Hoodwinked!», even if I have to write, direct, produce and pay for it myself!
Allrighty then, the characters were probably the most creative and unpredictable ones I have ever seen in my entire life! And that says quite a lot! The music was flawless and awesome, beautiful and well written. Nothing negative on the musical part, nor was there any bad aspects of the sound, effects or all that other stuff. Among other things I truly enjoyed about this movie was all the constant surprises, I mean I wasn't as surprised now tonight, but I have to go back to my first time, and dig out all my emotions, feelings, opinions and meanings I got then, when I first saw the movie. Some other of those things I really enjoyed was the characters obviously, the parodies on all those great movies like «Star Wars», «XXX», «The Matrix» and more, the undescribably wellcrafted, perfect and off the charts screenplay written by some genius whom hopefully will continue to create masterpieces like this one.
I know I have already said this, but the music was seriously great! A word that describes it pretty well is: «Phenomenal!». I just had to say it again. Bravo! Brava! Bravissimo!
The animation was simply, not simple at all. It was detailed, brilliant, hardcore, awesome, great and brilliant. There is, but one word that is on my mind and that word, my fair gentlemen and beautiful ladies, is: Godlike. Yes, it is unique and special and superb in its own little way, much like «Flåklypa Grand Prix» written by Ivo Caprino originally, this however is not written by Mr. Caprino just to be clear.
What was bad about the movie? What didn't I like? Well, I liked everything I think, so, I guess, «nothing» is the answer. You know, I have laid here on the coach, I have taken a seat on the toilet, I have also sit down at the kitchen table, and I have turned my brains inside out, but I couldn't think of one single negative thing to say about «Hoodwinked!», not even a tiny little detail! And there are nearly always some flaws with the movie, not absolutely always, obviously, I have seen a few movies that I didn't find any flaws with, but that might have been because I usually write my reviews at night, from 2200 hours and out into the night. So, sometimes I get tired and a little drowsy and that will of course affect my writing, but now I am rambling again. I have got to stop doing that and learn to focus on the movie at hand! So basically, the movie was flawless, not far from it anyhow. Since I couldn't find any flaws, mistakes or wrong-doings I conclude with that.
Of course the movie is not as good the 10th, 15th or 20th time you see it, but I still laughed, I still was surprised and it still gave me a thrill. So, all in all, awesome the 20th time, way off the hood, the first time! Hook. Off the hook, not hood. I think I am getting a little cramp in my right hand and some heavy rocks on my eyelids. Seriously the first and second time you see this movie, you WILL be amazed, dazzled and if not, you will be surprised no matter what. I guarantee it! Now go get Hoodwinked!
Good Night and have a good Night sleep. Bon soir to the French. Guten nacht to the Germans. Buenos noches to the Spanish and God natt to my fellow Norwegians.
Yours truly:

Gladiator (2000)
History has been written...
I do not have the words to describe how brilliant this movie is, Yet, I'll try to find some.
The quality of this film is off the hook! And the action scenes are incredibly nice, bloody, but nice. For example Maximus first battle in the arena. The choreography of that was explicit. The war at the very beginning; also great, but every scene in this movie was great in their own way, so.
It's the classic good meets evil, slave meets emperor, right meets wrong, all these classic and endless feuds have all come together in this movie, in a fight, a fight that will not stop until there is but one left standing.
David Franzoni wrote the story and David Franzoni wrote the screenplay, and he did an indescribable, magnificent job doing that. You don't believe me? Ask the 5 Oscars, 45 other awards and 79 other award nominations this movie got.
This movie is (believe it or not) based on emotions. In fact all movies are. Take away the emotions and what have you got left? Nothing! What is a fight in the arena without rage? What is a relationship without love? What is a good day without happiness? What is the point of righteousness if there is no wrong in the world? You get my point.
In this world, there are no words, no words at all that can do the acting in this movie or the movie itself any justice.
Before I sat down to write this review I did a search for gladiator to find out the last name of the writer, and I stumbled upon this: "This movie teaches us a crucial lesson about power. Power is one of those elusive qualities that we all aspire to have. We seek it through money, through education, through politics, and through our social ties. When we think of the Roman Empire, we think of "power." The Roman Empire ruled over the Old World for hundreds of years. There were other individuals and nations that managed to conquer much of the world: Alexander the Great is the most famous, and Napoleon wreaked some havoc in his time. But since the fall of the Roman Empire, that level of sheer power has not been matched." Everything with this movie is awesome. The acting, the lighting, staging, music, everything. I can actually not think of one single thing with this movie that is less than awesome. True story.
Well, I am guessing you have probably figured this out already, but this was a good movie. So, good that I am giving it 9 stars. Yup, 9 out of 10 stars from me, and If you haven't watched it yet, I highly recommend you to do so.
Howdy ho and a bottle of rum! Buenos Noches mis lectores. Good night and see you later!

Domestic Disturbance (2001)
Vince Vaughn VS Blind Ape
Domestic Disturbance starring both John Travolta and Vince Vaughn was a good movie. that is my opening statement. Keep reading for the rest.
It was nice. it had many good lines or comments, some were even funny and made me laugh. I laughed several times during this movie. It had great scenery and a great back-story plus a more than adequate script. They could have been a bit more creative instead of basing the movie on classic scenes from so many other movies, but ah well. So, in other words, it was worth watching. I liked it. Others may not have, but I did. Everyone is allowed to have their own opinion. Besides, it's like this with all movies and everything else in the world. Some like it and some don't. That is just the way it is in this world of ours.
The acting was superb on some parts, others (thinking of Vince Vaughn)not so much. Travolta did a good job as he usually does. Mr. Vaughn had an easy role of which he could have done a much better job with (hell, a blind and deaf chimpanzee without any ability to speak could have done a better job), but all in all he did a good job. His character was convincing. And then there is Buscemi, playing Roy. He never lets me down. He is one of those who never do a bad job, not even a little! He is one of the greatest actors there is! So, obviously he did a great, fantastic, awesome and superb job playing his part as the shady yet nice character Roy Coleman.
The start was great, the ending not so much, but nothing is perfect anyways. The movie itself was great with the turning points and the characters and everything. I enjoyed it, I did.
This is a thriller, obviously. A thriller movie with a little comedy stuffed in it. It was thrilling at times. They could have made it more thrilling, but they didn't, and there is nothing to do about that. A big part of the movie were clichés. Some fit in and made it better, others did not. There were also parts that everyone could see coming, they were easy to foresee, but that doesn't make it bad, but it takes away a part of the thrill of the movie.
So, this movie was enjoyable on a late spring night like this one. And after taking all of the things I said about the movie into consideration, I have decided to give this movie, "Domestic Disturbance", 4 stars out of 10 possible.
Rating: 4/10.
Thanks for reading, goodnight and sleep tight.

Dracula: Dead and Loving It (1995)
Unlike Dracula...this movie does not suck
Mel Brooks, a 85-year old American director and producer genius. He has made many a good movie. He is the king of spoofs. I could write many pages just about how great he is, but I'm not going to, for your sake.
This movie was a delight to watch in the time of all hallows eve. Leslie Nielsen always makes me laugh, whether he has a naked gun, is on an airplane, is the president of the United States of America or something else. He is a treasure. He is just plain awesome. He is gold! Peter MacNicol, Steven Weber and Amy Yasbeck are pretty good too. They sure do a more than decent jobs in this movie.
To finish this I will just say this was a movie well worth watching, I recommend it, it is a good movie to watch especially on Halloween.
I give it 7.5 stars out of a possible perfect 10.
Arrividerci! Bon Soir! Buenos Noches! Good Night and sleep tight ;-)

A Man Apart (2003)
Diesel drives A man apart
Wow! This movie actually made me shed a tear, and with me that is rare. I probably started to leak because I've been in a similar situation as Sean. I've been to hell and back a few times, and a part of me is still there and always will be.
The sad part really got to me, and that's a big plus. That is a sign that the people who made this movie have done their job properly. The start was great. To use my famous action-curve, it started out pretty high and it went a little down to push the sadness and the storyline on us, and then it went up, up and away with some minor detours down. In other words, it was great.
The acting was, as expected with Mark Vincent (aka Vin Diesel), freaking awesome! He is, always have been and always will be one of my favorite actors. Now Vin may have done a perfect job, but he wasn't the only one with acting skills out there. Larenz Tate and that Olyphant-guy who played Hollywood Jack were great as well. They made me believe it. And that is always a good sign in this business.
Now, let's talk ending. Without giving anything away, I can say, honestly, that I was genuinely surprised at the ending. First I was a bit confused with the handcuffs, I was thinking about what would happen next, and he turned his back and I was genuinely disappointed, disappointed for 2 seconds give or take. I did not see that one coming! Not at all! And I seriously see EVERYTHING before they come! OK, to sum it up. It had everything, even a few laughs appeared, and not on the screen. So, it was perfect, give or take. Simply perfect. Which means it gets a perfect 10 out of 10 stars from me. I also recommend you to see it, I really do. I would almost say this is a must-see movie.
Until next time, Ciao! Buenas noches! Bonsoir! Good night!

Agent Cody Banks (2003)
Rated K.O. - kids only (or knock out from boredom)
I realize this is a movie for kids, but it was the only decent thing on TV so I watched it. It was OK I guess, nothing more, nothing less. I don't remember much of it though.
The acting by both Frankie Muniz and Hilary Duff was pretty good. The concept of the movie, or the plot if you will, was more than a bit unrealistic. Other than that the plot was good. I had a few laughs, there were some good action scenes, and some very good ones as well.
As I said the acting was pretty good. Arnold Vosloo did a great job in the role of Molay, the bad guy. I think Mr. Vosloo might be born to play bad guys. I mean you see him in «The Mummy», «Chuck», «Blood Diamond». He is a natural! Anyhow, It is probably good enough for young teens, but I don't think it will be a big hit with other people. It gets 4 mediocre stars out of a possible 10 from me. See you later, alligator.

8 Mile (2002)
8 miles and 10 stars
Eminem. The greatest rapper of all time! That's my opinion anyways, and a lot of others too. This movie, based on his life, the start of his career, is brilliant! I've seen it time and time again, and I'm going to keep seeing it until the end of time. Yes, it is that good! So believe me when I say, watch it dog, watch it today.
This movie is filled with both action and comedy, brilliant music and awesome beats. It has got hot chicks, drunken bastards, gang wars and stupid dicks. The start, ending and the rest of the movie was simply brilliant. So I won't get started and describing or saying anything else about any of that. It started at the bottom and it worked its way up, until it hit the top. It has got a lot of different characters. Characters that's played by great actors. There was no bad acting in this movie, not one bit! The script is brilliant, because it is simply brilliant and great in every way, and the fact that it's based on a story from the real world doesn't hurt either. This movie is just 2 hours of brilliancy! That is all there is to say about that.
So, it is filled with loads of great scenes and awesomeness. The best part though I must admit was the lyrics they came up with. When you see this movie, and you really should, pay attention and listen to what they rap, the wordplays, the rhymes, the insults and the funny words that come out of their mouths. And if you have already seen it, watch it again, you know you won't be sorry.
I could go on and on and on about how great this movie was and the fact that I couldn't find a single bad thing to say about it even though I have probable seen it 30 times or so (I am not kidding. That Is not a lye or overstatement, that is the truth.) but there is no point in going on saying that the rapping and all the other music was great and that I know the lyrics to all the rap-offs in this movie, word by word, or that it is so great that it is a sin to go your entire life without watching it. There is no point to it because you already know all this. I have already said it was perfect, give or take and that nothing is negative about it so going on and on about how unbelievably awesome it is, it's just a waste of time. So I am going to end this right here and right now. I am giving 8 mile 10/10 stars and with a perfect score I highly recommend it and expect that you see it as soon as you can get your lazy ass out of that chair and away from your computer screen and move it over into the couch in front of the TV.
Rating: 10/10 Goodnight, bonsoir, guten nacht, god natt and Buenos noches.
Peace & love God Bless
