New producer, New music, New setting, New Dexter, and all are not as good as the other 8 seasons.
Should have had the same music, and a warmer setting.
And we dont need the PC indian stuff.
I dont like the Ice logo or that sound each ep either.
Sometimes I wonder if the people doing shows like this actually watch the whole previous run of shows, or just a few or one season and then think they know the show.
I have seen the first 3 episodes, and so far quite boring, and somewhat irritating to see the show messed up like this.
The only thing is I guess this version is better than no Dexter at all??
I agree with others, the Deb as the ghost who condems him at every turn was a really bad idea and is very irritating, and hurts the dexter character.
I guess they wanted her in the show, but instead of condeming him, she should be helping him.
The story so far is not interesting at all, the only thing is now we can wonder about harrison and whether he is like his father or not.
The previous seasons were always well written, and this one so far isnt, or doesnt seem so now, but is good enough to watch and see what they do with it.
Overall good to have Dexter back, and this is why it is good they didnt kill him off before.
The harrison character might turn into a good character, but with the actor they chose, I dont think he has the charisma to carry a show, if this is what they have planned.
Dexters GF is lacking charisma too and her being a cop is just silly.
But I will watch the whole thing and then judge it as a whole, but so far not impressed with it.

Shelley is a Unique character, the most unusual character I have seen in a movie in a long time. Very compelling to watch in this movie, she is the star
of the movie much like Hannibal Lecter was.
Rachel Alig did a great job with the role and kudos to Jon Knautz for doing good job directing.
However the movie is not for everyone, especially stupid people. Things are not explained for the simple minded, but can be figured out by watching closely and thinking about things from Shelly's perspective.
One clue about the ending is the doll house and barbie doll in it during the past scenes of Shelly's youth. It is ironic, that shelly hated her mom for being cruel and self centered , and uncaring about others, because she became that same type person, just in a different way.
Shelly lives in her own world, in which she is isolated and a loner, so she doesnt care about other people who are all different from her.
I found her to be a very interesting character, and would like to see a sequel if done by the same people. There were some writing flaws, but to correct those, would mean a longer movie, and I cant get into that without spoilers.
So if your not stupid, and want to see something different, this movie is a good movie to check out. Just keep in mind Alice the blonde is not the star, it is Shelly.
