The Hollywood Knights (1980)
Eh
I'm a huge fan of both Michelle Pfeiffer and Fran Drescher, so finding out that they both did the same movie in their early 20's was a no-brainer for me to watch. The movie itself was just all over the place, especially towards the beginning. Very poorly edited. I didn't find the movie all that funny either, although I can see this being popular among a young demographic back when it was first released. The only funny parts for me were the ones with the chubby asthmatic character (forgot his name). The rest was pretty dull. In any case, I would recommend this for any Michelle or Fran fans out there who are interested in their early work. I don't regret my decision of watching this film simply because I had those two ladies gracing my screen every once in a while.
Harley Quinn (2019)
This has been missing from my life
Growing up on BTAS, I've been yearning for another good Batman animated series and this would undoubtedly please anyone. Not only is it witty and hilarious, but the fact that the DC Universe streaming service is lenient with censorship makes this show perfect for adults. I just wish Poison Ivy had a human-like skin tone like other versions of her, but that's just me and my nostalgia.
Baisers cachés (2016)
Very direct, riveting film
Definitely one of the best coming-of-age films I've watched, with incredible performances from the main two actors as well as the actors who portrayed their parents. There were a few instances I would've liked to have seen explored more, such as what exactly compelled Louis to beat up Nathan to the extent that he did in the bathroom scene, but overall it was a film that just never lost momentum, to the point where you're not ready for the ending credits to start rolling in.
Undercover High (2018)
Incredibly Insightful
This documentary really does a great job at showcasing the vulnerability and rawness of a high school environment in the 2010's involving the rapid increase of social media influence as well as a faculty that is struggling to assert authority over their students. Highly recommend for anyone, especially ones who feel nostalgic about the dysfunctions of high school culture.
I hope this show ends up filming at different high schools nationwide in each season to keep things more interesting.
Rat Race (2001)
Rat Race
Rat Race was one of the funniest movies I've ever seen. It has an interesting storyline and hilarious characters. I thought that by far the funniest one was Jon Lovitz. Also Kathy Najimy (Jon's wife in the movie). The funniest part in the movie was the Hitler scene where i was laughing until the end of the movie. This is one of those movies that you can watch over and over again and never get tired of it. I would recommend it to comedy lovers. The least funniest pair i thought was Brekin Meyer and Amy Smart. It's not that they weren't funny, it's just that there weren't a lot of scenes including them that were funny. But an awesome storyline plus awesome characters equals an awesome movie.
