A conclusion worthy of re:zero. Any chances of reconciliation for the Astrea family end here, with the end of Theresia and the bitterness of Wilhelm, the main culprit for the rock bottom his family is in. Even though their love story is beautiful, it is not tragic, it is toxic. Wilhelm loves Theresia more than his own son and grandson, and uses her name to justify his actions, based on a distorted and selfish vision of love, classic in re:zero. Even though the sword demon has made all these mistakes, he is still respected, and even though his love story is distorted, it is still celebrated all over the world, all for one reason: his deeds covered up his flaws, and even we, the viewers, do not see the synthesis of the Astrea family either. Reinhard and Wilhelm are magnificent characters, Heinkel is also not left out, this family is full of sadness, power and a lot of development, this episode does justice to all of this. Even though there are cuts from the original material, the anime production knew how to adapt well the message intended by the author.
