This is an absolutely dreadful film. It was only an hour long, but it felt way longer.
To think the very same person who directed this film went on to become a truly iconic director is almost unbelieveable.
It's bad...REALLY BAD. Not "so bad, it's good" bad, it's "so bad, it's probably the worst film you'll ever see" bad. You will literally watch the entire movie saying to yourself, "I can't believe this guy went on to direct 2001: A Space Odyssey, A Clockwork Orange, Full Metal Jacket, and so many other classics."
I can see why Kubrick hated this piece and did everything he could to distance himself from it.

I love good old films. Unfortunately, this is not one of them.
The cast and premise seemed to have a lot of promise but both are wasted by a terrible plot and a script full of terrible jokes and gags.
With all the choices available to stream these days, don't waste two hours on this very poor piece of celluloid.

Formulaic and predictable. Not a great film by any stretch of the imagination, but not terrible either. The playing scenes looked poorly staged. I was left with the impression, "looks like Adam Sandler is friends with a lot of current and ex-NBA players...and the majority of then can't act worth a damn."
