Incorporating a plot that you've seen a hundred times before and without an ounce of originality or credibility this really was a film that I couldn't wait for the end of.
I love action films,Bond,Bourne,The Expendables etc... so I don't need a perfect plot or a justified motive, just fun and action, but unfortunately this just never went anywhere. Enjoyable for the first 30 or 40 minutes it simply seemed to give up for the second half. Angelina Jolie looked like she needed several good meals, and she wasn't a patch on the character of Lara Croft which she pulled off with aplomb.
I couldn't engage with this film on any level after the first act,and would have left early if not for the fact that it was raining outside.

Everything about this film reeks of class. From the perfectly underplayed emotions of the main characters to the storyline to the cinematography,it's just beautiful.
Rarely are films this well done, and it's just so refreshing to see something made for the senses, that sparks them all so well into life.
You'll feel exactly as the director/D.O.P/and producer intended for you to feel.
Just watch it,revel in it,adore it and tell all your friends to watch it.
Happily the best two hours I've spent in the company of celluloid in as long as I can remember.

What do you get if you cross several average actors,a 'witty' self-aware, self deprecating script and a bag full of clichés,acknowledged as being clichés by the script, making them super clichés?
Robbed of an hour and a half, that's what.
I've seen some bad films and often you can take the good from them and be pretty content. This film in no way offers anything even remotely close to redemption.....actually that's not entirely fair,it does.It ends.
This movie should be used in a court of law to substantiate and complete the argument for euthanasia.
Sticking to the old adage about ending positively I did take something from this film......I learnt never to go anywhere near any future project with anyones name attached from these credits.
One star is the minimum I'm able to give this, but it's a little like saying that Hitler was just a bit naughty.
