Sure, here is a review of Mr Inbetween written as a layman:
Mr Inbetween is a great show. It's funny, it's dark, and it's really well-made. The acting is superb, the writing is sharp, and the directing is top-notch.
The show follows Ray Shoesmith, a hitman who is trying to balance his violent life with his relationships with his family and friends. It's a really interesting premise, and the show does a great job of exploring the dark side of human nature while also finding humor in the most unexpected places.
If you're looking for a new show to watch, I highly recommend Mr Inbetween. It's a unique and compelling show that will stay with you long after you've finished watching it.
Here are some of the things that I liked about the show:
* The characters are complex and relatable. Ray is a fascinating anti-hero who is not easily defined as good or bad. He is capable of great violence, but he also has a strong sense of loyalty and compassion. The supporting cast is also excellent, with Essie Davis, Damon Herriman, and Nicholas Hope all giving memorable performances.
* The writing is sharp and witty. The dialogue is natural and believable, and the characters often have hilarious exchanges.
Series 4 please.

Not sure where to start, the characters are well written the story is well written, the visuals are very well executed, I went into this fully expecting it to be another 10 minute before turning off like many of the releases have been on all platforms of late, but no this had me hooked, it had my mind wandering towards how a scooby story should be written and executed ( unlike the future trash that is on its way) the throwbacks to the original Adams family and the films from the 90s were well placed and subtle, the casting was near on perfect, it's the first thing for a while I had no complaints. Disney Amazon netflix etc etc take note this is what you audience wants.
I have no idea what the budget for this series was but I can only imagine it was a pittance compared to rings of power yet this absolutely annihilates ROP. So far the story is well executed the acting is on point, the SFX are believable as they're subtle in their obviousness. It amazes me that Amazon can produce a completely new series from scratch and executes it well yet when given something on a platter they completely ruin it.
Chloe's character suits her well and I have high hopes for the coming episodes, if Amazon just sticks to the basics they could do will instead of trying to do things they cannot.
