I keep wondering what compels us to watch someone cooking foods that are totally unappealing, and that most people would never want to prepare or eat. Is it just because the chef is well known and there are famous actors there as well?
Seriously, who cares what celebrities eat or are paid to praise?
Watching this first episode I kept thinking about that live lobster in the refrigerator. Noticeably, they did not show the cutting up of that poor living being, because of course we wouldn't want to offend the sensibilities of the viewers. Better not to think about that! Somehow, (by divine intervention?) it mysteriously appears on the plates, cut up, cooked and ready to eat. How nice! Except for the poor lobster who was cut up and cooked while still alive.
Not an enjoyable show in any way.

As much as I love Steve Martin and Martin Short, two great comedians, and as much as I was looking forward to this show, after a few episodes I pulled the plug. The plot is contrived, unbelievable, and silly. I could almost overlook that just because I really like those guys, but Selena Gomez was the deal breaker. Not only is she an untalented actress, her nasal monotone and bland delivery was just too much to bear. I cringed every time she said anything. Sorry to say I just couldn't continue watching. I wish Steve and Martin all the best, but this show just doesn't cut it. I hope they try something different, their talents are wasted in this show.
I absolutely loved the first few seasons of this show. The original actors were a great ensemble cast and each character was believable and likable. The story lines were unique and entertaining. But after they started leaving the show, the replacement characters just were not interesting and the storylines became silly and contrived. The acting suffered. When they added the religious character that was really the death knell. Not only was it illogical that the firm would have hired her, but her acting was subpar to say the least. Season 7 was awful. Thats as far as I got. I just didn't want to waste anymore time.
