I kept giving the show the benefit of the doubt since the beggining of season 2, but this slow and pointless storytelling does not seem to end.
It is one thing for a series to take its time and portray the events with more detail (God bless The Wire), it's another to waste the viewers' time by prolonging scenes just to fill in the blanks and waste the precious screen time it has received.
Is there really no better story to tell than showing Rhaenyra bicker for a good portion of the episodes and do nothing (except for that unnecessary and off-putting scene at the end) or butchering Daemon's character by showing us bits of hallucination that get to nowhere and are completely meaningless? I would personally love for Daemon's scenes to get some more time so we actually understand what is happening, but the moment it gets interesting, CUT! Daemon's plot in Harrenhal has been going on for several episodes, and at this point it is simply painful to watch.
I still believe there is great hope for certain events that are to come, but with this pacing, the show is basically killing itself slowly but surely.

God, the show is getting incredibly boring this season.
The dialogues and most characters, including but not limited to Frenchie, Starlight, and Kimiko are especially annoying this season, and honestly the only thing that keeps me going are Butcher and Homelander.
It's almost like they decided to take all the disgusting/cringe scenes to the next level, which is fine, but completely forget about what made the boys unique, which is the feeling of being unsafe in a world full of supes...
For some reason it feels like none of the creators of the show take anything seriously anymore, and it's all just a joke to them.
I wish they focused more on what the audience cares about, not what they care about.
